So, should I be 'disappointed', 'flattered' or 'indifferent'?

You mean I'm not going to wake up one morning with Sandra Bullock's body in Gravity? Ah man. -
Wondering if anyone stayed home alone right after surgery?
dlc0963 replied to trudyjo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I came home after two nights and three days in the hospital. I had arranged for a friend to stay with me but after 2 hours at home with her I asked her to leave. All I wanted to do was be home alone with my three boys (of the feline kind). I was fine and actually happier. After a few days in the hospital I was happy to be home among my stuff and in my bed. I did have a neighbor available just in case but I never needed to reach out to her. -
I was sleeved on January 14th. Weighed myself for the first time last Monday and was down 25 lbs. I don't regret my decision but can't say it's been easy. I have my moments or sometimes days when my stomach and my brain are out of sync and in constant battle over food and eating. Then there are days when I can't even believe I had the surgery. The first few weeks my stomach made all sorts of noises that are starting to quiet down a bit now that I'm eating more regular foods. I've felt down and I've felt amazingly good. I just keep trying to remind myself this is and was always about my health. During the harder moments I read postings here or go for a walk.

3 dayspost op? Stomach issues
dlc0963 replied to spazdd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will be three weeks out on Tuesday and I also have been having lots of gurgling. It's quoted down a bit but still get it right after I eat. I've read that it can happen and should slow down with time. -
My cold has now gone into my chest and I have a horrible cough. I see the surgeon today and I guess I will find out if this will delay the surgery in any way. Fingers crossed no because I don't want to so another two weeks of the liquid diet if you know what I mean.

I am scheduled for Tuesday, January 14th and I have also come down with a nasty cold which was on the heals of food poise ing. I'm very worried that when I see the doctor on Monday he will delay the surgery.

I am also scheduled for January 14th. Just started my two week pre-op diet. First day I had stomach flu and now I have a cold. Really struggling and feel alone right now. I know I'm making the right decision but at the moment not so sure.

Really? This is what my coordinator at the Dr. office said she was told by Cigna and then yesterday I rec'd a letter saying that I was denied coverage. I'll call her and see what she says. Thanks for telling me.

Just found out that becasue my company issues my insurance from Maryland and eventhough I'm in California, I actually have to do six months instead of three. I had already done five for my previous insurance so now I have to do one more class from the doctors office. Feeling a bit frustrated with the process. I started this in February and thought I would be done with my surgery by now but now it's looking like it may not be until December or January.

I'm new here but saw that you are all with Cigna. My job just started with Cigna so I'm interested in seeing how it goes. Good luck.
