Just a real quick post here since it's almost tomorrow and I still have to go through the rest of my sites here. We went to Grand rapids and babysat the grandkids while DH went into work. She started researching the cruise and only Carnival sails out of N.O. It's a four day cruise with one day in Cozumel and the others at sea. Starting price for an inside cabin is around $500.00 BUT the cruise lines don't have any schedules out yet for next June. So, do we want to continue searching this venue or come up with something else? Oh yeah, the challenge. I didn't make it. didn't lose any, but I guess it's better than gaining. TTYL

It's the end of my high speed month and my Mb's are over limit so since last night, computer has slowed to dial up speed and wouldn't let me on. Back up to speed tonight. Thank god. I had a decent food day today. One small lemonade and about three or four waters. No soda. And it was the end of school party today at church. I'm trying, but there is no way I can meet this challenge. I just wanted to let you all know that I didn't fall off the edge of the world but I have to go catch up on all I have missed these past 24 hours. TTYL
-
Oh yeah, Karla. I'm not winning any prizes in this challenge either. You're not alone here.
-
Shake it off, Karla. You're probably holding water. If your jeans are baggy, you most likely have lost. The scale?? Just stick with the plan and it will go down. Karri = I agree with Janet. Mail them the keys. Or better yet, just leave them on your desk. It's not as if you're going back there next year. Who Cares??? Janet - Have you given up on your farms?
-
Yesterday was a pretty good day for me. Got on the scale this morning and was down two and a half pounds. Then, today came. Went out to breakfast after church. Split a western omelet and hash browns with DH. (he got the toast) And a soda (boo, hiss hiss). And a refill (BOO BOO HISS HISS) Then to a graduation open house. Had a soft taco with some meat, beans and cheese. A brownie and three glasses of lemonade. And nibbled on some peanuts. Two bottles of water today. A couple crackers with soft cheese and that's about it for today except for my pop tart for bf. But the night's not over yet. We'll see. TTYL

Good Morning Ladies First off, I want to congratulate all of you for doing so well with this challenge. I am not doing well at all. Gym membership ran out and they more than doubled the price and they'll only do monthly so I need to get busy and find somewhere to go that is affordable. The gym I went to was twenty minutes away and that is the closest one. I'm still pedaling the exerbike at least 60 minutes a day and I am still trying to talk myself into getting outside and walk. Phyl - You're not the only one who is two pages behind. I didn't get here yesterday. Besides all the errands I had to run, I just couldn't get off the farm. I'm in the process of moving things around. In fact, if the stupid site wasn't down, I'd be there right now. I think I am more than addicted. Karla - You are not the only one without a Wii. I don't have one. It sounds good.......but I guess I'm too cheap to put out the money for one. Only have DD at home and she's only here to sleep. DH won't lower himself to play it. And besides, do I really need something else to get myself addicted to? I don't know. I know it would be good for me. I do need to exersize........but after putting out all that money, how long would I use it before it is outdated or I am sick of it? So, unless I find myself a rich relative somewhere or a rich friend (hint hint) to give me one, I'll probably live without one. OKAY, NEED TO MOVE ON AND GET DRESSED. GOT UP AT FOUR THIS MORNING THINKING ABOUT THAT DARN FARM AND COULDN'T GET BACK TO SLEEP. TTYL

Burping? What's that? LOL All the time. Hours after eating, I'm still burping. And Heartburn? Nasty. I can always tell when I'm eating something I shouldn't cause I can feel the start of a good case of heartburn. (chips do it everytime) And the acid reflux. I can't tell you how often I wake up in the middle of the night with it. I keep saying I need to go in for a small unfill and then I sit down and can eat everything under the sun. There is no answer to this band. So you are not alone, Linda. Hang in there. Food choices aren't the best in the world, but I'm working on it. My fridge now only has soda I don't like in it so that will be a big help. I keep telling myself I can do it as I look in the pantry for something to snack on. WELL, HAVE A GOOD DAY. I THINK I NEED TO GO GET SOME CLOTHES ON SINCE IT IS NOW LUNCHTIME. IT'LL BE MUCH EASIER IF I'M DRESSED IN CLOTHES TO EAT LUNCH. TTYL

Hello Ladies I AM NOT PISSED OFF AT ANYONE!!!! I have been really busy. It's almost 1:30 am and this is the first chance I've had to get on here since I did my farming this morning. My BIL passed away and spent the afternoon and evening at the funeral home. DD came down and she forgot her suitcase back home so after we left the funeral home we headed to the outlet mall so she could find something to wear. Bought myself a new pair of jeans at Old Navy. Size 12. Then we ended up at WallyWorld and we didn't get home till almost midnight. Tomorrow is the funeral and then Weds., we're going up to babysit the rug rats. Where has the time gone? I still have to get out and get my passport for Canada. I have to be the queen of all procrastinators. I'm also not ignoring you guys. I'm just making lousy choices. No, mealtimes are okay, it's all that in-between junk that is going to do me in. I'm trying though. I made it 90 minutes on my bike today but yesterday I skipped. (shame shame) Yeah, and we can't forget the soda. I'm really trying to quit, but that little demon on my shoulder really likes to hear me belch. DD hasn't been able to check on the cruise yet. She has to get into the office cause she can't get the program she needs from home. That's one of the reasons we're going there to babysit, so she can go into the office. I really have to go the bed. I'm so tired, I'm not sure this even makes any sense. I'll try to post back here tomorrow if I find the time. (gotta harvest tomorrow). Just wanted you to know that I am not pissed off and ignoring you. Well, maybe ignoring you guys a little cause I feel guilty. (maybe that's good?) But I've just been too busy. (but not to busy to eat). TALK TO YOU ALL TOMORROW. SLEEP TIGHT AND PLEASANT DREAMS.
-
Well, Candace, I don't just burp myself to death, I belch myself to death. But it keeps calling me. And Janet, ruby red squirt only has 120 calories. (couldn't resist temptation calling) Lunch was some italitan wedding soup (130cal.) but then I found the crackers. I don't know how many I ate. Dinner was a Lean Cousine. I've had two waters so far and am going to start another one. Looked like it was going to rain so I didn't get out and walk but I got lots of exersize down at the farm (lol) I feel that tomorrow is going to be a better day for me. Phyl - Yes, your farm is gorgeous. It is really unique. Earl's farm is too. I love the way you planted your veggies. did you see the crosses in mine? I lov my farm. JANET.........NO WEED KILLER!!! Not much else new here. Hope Angel feels better. Bad knees really suck. I have first hand experience with it. Well, I'll see all of you tomorrow if not before at the far. Have a good night.
-
My feet shrunk too. I guess I'' do what you guys are doing. Breakfast - YoCrunch lite 120 calories Snack 1 lite string cheese 50 Calories I pedaled the bike for 75 minutes (805 cal) this morning and I'm gonna try to get out and walk this afternoon. I'm drinking my first water of the day right now, trying to decide what to have for lunch. I think I'll have some soup. that's pretty lo-cal and then for dinner, I'll have a lean cousine. I have to really fight those snack demons today. Didn't have to worry about the pepsi demon cause the pop machine at church was out of it and I don't buy it. Of course, that ruby-red squirt is calling my name but I'll try to ignore it. TTYL
-
LOL i LOVE IT.
-
OKAY!! OKAY!! I GIVE. I GIVE!!! I'M IN. I can't let you guys put weed killer on my plants. I just spent three hours over there. LOL Besides, I love the idea of the Northerers against the Southerner. SO.....LET'S KICK SOME BUTT!!!!! and I told DH that I'm back to Lean Cousines and he'll have to fend for himself. Just keep reminding me why I shouldn't drink any Pepsi. Got to drink water........got to drink water............got to drink water............got to drink water......................(yeah, and go wee wee wee all the way home)..............got to drink water.........(my new mantra) And we're all gonna be that Little Engine that Could. I THINK I CAN................I THINK I CAN..........I THINK I CAN...............................HELL, YES!!!!WE CAN.
-
Hi everybody Just thought I'd better post today and let you all know that I'm ignoring you. Yep, you heard me. I have to agree with you, Candace. I did get on the scale this morning. 180. Yep, up 5-10 lbs. Okay. Now I'm going back to ignoring all you guys. Got to get back to the farm. Oh Yeah, Phyl - love the haircut. It looks great on you. You are looking really good. Okay. Now I'm ignoring you. Bye all
-
Janet - Already have Andrea on it. She said she'd do it tomorrow after the holiday. She's going to check out both side of Mexico (out of CA and NO) and see what's available. Well, just wanted to add that and now I'd better go get dressed. Got to go to the grocery store and get some food in the house. TTYL
-
Karla This one is just for you. First off, I gotta tell you that I think I had to hit at least 70 lbs before I could see a difference. Even my clothes size didn't change. That's frustrating. Okay, now the situation with school. I had to wait till after chruch today to say anything cause I wanted to talk to Darren first. Anyway, he teaches 8th grade history and 8th grade Earth Science. I told him about your dilemma and he gave me permission to give you his e-mail address. He has everything on CD-rom so it isn't a problem forwarding it on to you. He said he'd be happy to help you in any way. So, his e-mail address is hejnald@panthernet.net. His name is Darren Hejnal (haynal). Hope this helps. He's a great guy. He was my youngest daughter's softball coach. Good Luck.

I can do that. I don't think Brad is coming so I could come early if you're serious. Karri = your story is hilarious!!! Have I mentioned here that my daughter wants to get a mom-mobile (minivan) cause her kids, ages 4 and almost 2 keeps picking on each other. He touched me. She took my toy. That's my drink. Mom, tell her to stop etc. etc. She figured she would separate them. I'm gonna have to tell her that it doesn't stop, even when they're in high school. LOL But, then again, her and her brother did the exact same thing. Karla - I don't know how you do it. Middle school. OMG!!!! It got to the point when I subbed, I refused to do MS. And I wasn't the only one. The biggest problem was the principal though. He would kow tow to the kids and their parents and would not support his teachers. He became the laughing stock in the district and there weren't too many teachers willing to teach there. I'm gonna head out now. Just wanted to check in and couldn't resist putting my two cents worth in. Gotta go see what kind of crap I can find to eat. (thank God, there isn't any......or I would eat it) I'll go drink my last water instead. I'll check back tomorrow. (what the heck happened to my font?)
-
Good Afternoon ladies Karri - Sounds like you have a handle on food for the week-end. I was going to suggest just eating whatever they do but only a couple bites. That will work unless you are like me and one or two bites aren't enough. Then you worry, but I think you are disapplined enough to stop. Boy, I envy that. Linda - Boy, can I relate to what you went through last summer. Depression...............I call it the dark times. It hit me really hard, Borderline suicidal. It got to the point where my youngest told me she didn't come home after work cause she was afraid of what she would find. (scary, huh?) Didn't go anywhere, talk to anyone, get dressed, showered once or twice a week, didn't sleep nights and got out of bed around noon and cried constantly. I finally decided to take control of my life, changed antidepressants and got the lapband. Started losing weight and rejoined the land of the living. I am just so thankful now and I never want to go back to the dark. Janet - My leg muscles are sore but believe it or not, my knees are doing pretty well. They're stiff and crack a lot, but I think the muscles are the worst. How many pages have we done this week? This week sure has passed fast. It's hard to believe that Phyl's been gone a week. Since it sounds like most of you are going to arrive on the 23, I'll leave that morning and should be there late that afternoon, if I don't get lost. OKAY, GONNA SIGN OUT NOW. WILL CHECK BACK LATER.

Good Evening Ladies It's been a gorgeous day here in Michigan. I dug out my shorts and a summer top and I'm just lovin' it. Talked with my daughter about planning a cruise. What I need is a couple dates. about how many people, how many day cruise. She said there are fantastic deals in Mexico and if we book an early bird special we should make out like bandits. Karri - I don't know why everyone is worried about you. I think you have got a good handle on this lapband stuff. Well, both you and Janet. I wish I were structured enough to do something like you are. Steph - When you're done with all your stuff today, make a side trip to Michigan on your walk. I have lots of stuff that needs doing. And no desire to do any of it. Karla - Get an unfill...........soon. There is nothing worse than being too tight and then waking up in the middle of the night with acid reflux. NASTY!!! I just don't know what to make of my band. Some days there is no stopping the food going in and other days, like today when I am stuffed with very little. And then again, there is the head hunger.......you know, that little horned guy that sits on your shoulder and says "go ahead, make my day." Okay, I don't have anything else to say. It's the same old, same old here.........yada yada yada. So, have a good night and I'll check back tomorrow. Love you guys.

Good Evening Ladies I didn't post yesterday cause I didn't have anything to say and last night, I just didn't make it back here. So, I get on tonight and what do I find?? Four pages of posts. Man, you guys are busy, a bunch of motor mouths. Hee Hee. Linda - Glad you're back. Your Cora is just precious. Aren't grandkids the greatest? We spent the day with ours today and I loved every minute. If I ever learn how to download pictures (just got a camera) and how to post them, I will post some pics of my favorite little people. Last night, DH was down in the swamp cutting down a tree when I had dinner ready. So, I went ahead and ate. He came in and jumped in the shower before he ate and we went to our bible study. So, since I was done eating, I told him I was leaving for B.Study and to pick me up when he went by. I walked for almost an hour before he picked me up and I couldn't believe how far I had walked!!! I swear it had to be about four miles. I clicked the odometer back to zero on my car before I headed out and much to my surprise, when DH picked me up (at least four miles down the road) The odometer said I only went two and a half miles. Whoa!!! I swear it's further than that, but then, do odometers lie? Don't know. Only know that I am sore today. My calves are killing me. My member ship at the gym expired yesterday and the owners are selling (trying to anyway) and they aren't signing up any yearly memberships. Only monthly. Since I only paid $199.00 for the year, I just can't see $40.oo/month they're asking for now. They don't have anyone there that can give you halp or advice, you're on your own, so I have to check around for somewhere else to work out..............so in the meantime, I'm still pedaling and trying to get out and walk. HEY STEPH............How long did it take you to walk those ten miles the other day. It to me almost an hour to make two and a half..........I don't even want to think about walking ten. The weather here in Michigan was just beautiful today. The temps are finally going up but unfortuneately, so are the gas prices. But, we went to Grand Rapids to see the grandkids today. What a fantastic day. Anyhow, I was talking with my daughter and telling her about going to Candace's this summer and how we were playing around with the idea of going on a cruise. She's a travel agent and she told me that if we are serious, she'd love the opportunity to put together a great deal for us.........co-ordinating all of our travel needs etc. since we're all from different parts of the country. She's really excited about doing it. She also said that if we went say, right when school lets out in June, we should be fine. That hurricane season doesn't really start up till aug. And, I know she'll work really hard to find the best prices for us and the best cruise. Well, since I didn't do my part yesterday for Phyll, I think I managed to do it today. I'm really looking forward to Canada and I can't wait to meet everyone. SO, SINCE IT'S GETTING REALLY LATE, AND I STILL HAVE A LOT TO DO ON COMPUTER TONIGHT, I'M GONNA SIGN OFF AND WILL BE BACK TOMORROW. SLEEP TIGHT EVERYONE.
-
Good Afternoon, ladies Well, I really don't have much to say, but I have to do my part here for Phyl. Thanks, everyone for all the encouragement you['ve posted here. It is great for a jump start. It's like getting a swift kick in the butt. I think I did pretty good yesterday with food and so far today, I've done pretty good. But then the day is only half over. well, I'll check back later Have a good day and let's all make the choice to choose good food.
-
SMACK ME TOO! ! ! My food choices aren't all that bad, but my problem is Pepsi. I thought I was doing really good not having it except once in a great while as a reward. Dang, one of the reasons I got the band was because of diabetes among a host of other things. Now, I'm off all diabetes meds and a whole lot more and what do I do?? Drink soda. I never had a problem getting my water down. I like water. But lately, forget it. I'd rather have a soda. Doesn't matter if it is pepsi, anything will do. I keep telling myself to start drinking Crystal Lite for the sweet taste but I HATE artificial sweetener. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. Karla, feel free to hop on a train and come to my house in Michigan. I have lots of gardening to do. I will check back later, if I can manage to tear myself away from FB. Loved all the sayings, Steph
-
Well, about high speed?? Ask me tomorrow. I was told that if we hit our limit on downloads, it would punish us by going dial up speed for around 24 hours. Well, I've been on dial up speed all day. In fact, this is slower than the dial up I had. I've got to check this out. It's ridiculous that after only a day and a half this thing drops to dial up speed. $60.00 a month?? I don't think so. Gonna get some answers on Monday. At least they don't charge extra. Karla - Here' something to think about ..........when you first wake up in the morning, you are well rested, empty mind......the band works great. 6 hours later, your mind has had time to figure out that you haven't had much to eat and you should be starving. And you are. Head hunger. I've found a lot of times, it is a case of mind over matter. I'm still trying to overcome the urge to keep eating, even though I know I am full. It's that empty plate syndrome. And, I even use a small salad plate for my meals. Janet - Mexican cruise sounds great, but you know, it's just you and Phyl that don't put up with snow and cold weather. Canada, Michigan and Wyoming are all know for cold nasty winters. Why don't we go during winter breaks at school? Does it have to be July to celebrate? Do you still have the smiley's from smiley central? They take up quite a bit of room on a post and they will go a long way in adding pages here. I don't have mine any more cause one of the virus thingys said I got a virus from it so I'm afraid to download it again. Any estimates on how many pages we can fill for Phyl? FILLS FOR PHYL!!! Kind of has a nice ring to it. Here's a cute story to fill space for Phyl. My one nd a half year old grand daughter calls her brother Gavin, Nonny. Now, how do you get Nonny from Gavin?? DD finally figured it out the other night. He asked her if he could have something and she said, "no, honey. I don't think so." And little Karina says "no, Nonny". Mystery solved. Honey, Nonny. Think she'll ever say Gavin? Okay, I've done my part tonight. Besides, this thing is so slow today. I'll be back tomorrow and post again. Hopefully I'll be back to high speed.:scared2:
-
Yep, now we get to fill the pages for Phyl. But didn't she get a laptop from her daughter? She'll take it along, do LBT and her and Earl's farms. Can you see her being away from that for a weeK/ Karla - Hope things work out with that kid. I remember once when I was subbing (middle school) I overheard a girl call me a bitch. I just turned around and said "if you think I'm a bitch now, just keep it up and I'll show you a bitch>" I got called on the carpet for that one. I just refused to go back while that A#**# was principal. Principals need to support their teachers, not kiss the parent's a$$. No more dial up for us. Got high speed and I love it. Now I won't eat because I'm so frustrated. Of course, it gets me off the computer so I can eat. Catch 22. Oh Well. Phyl, have fun on your cruise. Don't forget to pack warm clothes. It's only May. TTYL

Hello Ladies. I've been AWOL. Not even lurking, believe it or not. Seems that that stupid fun farm on FB is taking up most of my time. But that all stops tomorrow. Getting high speed installed. Expensive, but worth it. (really did some fast talking to the bird here). Can't wait. Ruby, I am so glad you came back. I have really missed you. Everyone here is really supportive, but I really felt a connection with you. I mean, hey, Your posts could have been mine. It's kind of scary to see my thoughts and issues posted by someone else. Karla - If you have an old style band, mine must be from the stone age. It's a 10cc but hey, it works. Okay, my fill doctor does fills every four weeks if needed. As for liquids and mushies, I asked him about it and he said no it wasn't necessary. Just eat what I could, so I've never done anything different. Oh darn!! I know there was more I wanted to post, but I can't remember it. I need to get my head on straight and drop these 10 pounds before Canada. Been thinking of doing that 3 day pouch thingy but don't remember how it goes. Help!! Oh yeah, Janet. My exersize bike is a recumbant bike. It is so much easier on the knees than a regular bike. I've trying to get DH to put a new tire on my real bike and I'd ride with him but he won't. Tells me to ride DD's bike. Then I'd know if that kind of bike works for bad knees too. I'll let you know. Only a few more weeks and then it's summer, Karri. Then, watch, six weeks into it, you'll be chomping at the bit to get back to the classroom. (right) Okay, since I don't get high speed till tomorrow, I've got to go do some farming. It'll probably take me the rest of the night to finish. So, have a great night and I'll see you all (or most of you) over on facebook.

I love it!!! I'd laugh, but it sounds too much like my house. God forbid we should die and not leave our kids anything. I've got more miles on my CRV than you do. Only good thing about it is that it is a Honda and it is just barely broken in. Do you ever get tired of hearing the birds at your house??? The sound of them just drives me up a wall. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP
