That I don't know. Talk to your doc and keep us posted.

Is it at the very bottom tip of your sternum? If so, maybe it's your xyphoid process. And maybe it's just easier to feel with some weight loss. Just a thought. But maybe, just check with your doc to be sure.

Do you look older since you lost weight?
LynRN replied to LynRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i am fairly young, (31, will turn 32 before surgery. Surgery is 11/25, my birthday is 11/13), but one of my biggest concerns is losing too much in the face before I'm at goal. I have a fairly round face and can afford to lose some of it, but I have a lot to lose and don't want to look sickly, or worse, OLD! Lol! What has been your experience? Do you recommend anything to prevent wrinkles? Pics would be appreciated. Thanks -

I'm still preop and I decided that I wanted change it up a little in the bedroom for the hubs. So I decided to shave "down there" Not just a trim, I decided to "scorch the earth" (my husband's phrase, not mine). OMG, it was next to impossible because of my giant belly and short arms. I'm 5'2 and 260lbs and very apple shaped. It was almost funny ... Almost. I tried standing, lying down, one leg on the toilet, and still only got about 80% done. Anyway, at least he appreciated my hard work. I hope I don't need a catheter for surgery, because I don't know if I can manage such a feat again until I can get some of this weight off. Anyway, I thought you girls might be able to appreciate this post.

Apple Shaped Ladies: Holla Back!

Thanks for replying. It's great to see ladies that are shaped like me. My coworkers actually measured my ankles once because they are so skinny which sucks since my top half is so wide. But you look great, by the way. -
Good to hear.

Thanks again for all the replies.

Approved for Surgery - Now I'm Freaking Out
LynRN posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was approved for surgery and had my pre-surgery visit this morning. Surgery is scheduled for 11/25. This just got real and I'm starting to get real scared. I am the mother of a 3 and a 5 year old. And my husband is in school so I am the primary breadwinner. I am so scared of complications or, God forbid, death. I really need this to go as smoothly as possible as I will need to go back to work in 2 weeks. I am going to a great surgeon with great stats, but I can't help but feel scared. Please help. -
