Good luck to all getting sleeved today!! Today is our day!

So I'm up bright and early for my appointment with Batman and Robin. I forgot my razor, so I went down to the lobby to buy a razor. I can't meet the Bat Crew with stubble! I was given a complimentary shave kit by the gentleman at the front desk. The early AM boys were less than impressed by my PJs and sparkly Ugg boots, which besides my sandals and hospital slippers are the only other shoes I brought. They are slip on! BTW, I hope eyelashes aren't considered "makeup". I will be wearing my lashes to the OCC and if I must, I will remove them.

So I made it across the border- word from the wise don't overpack! i totally overpacked and I'm dreading going back across the border. When you get to the border you have to exit the van with all your belongings and go through the customs building (there was no one in there when we went through), but you have to wait for the driver to come through the car lanes. This did not take that long and there is seating while you wait. When the driver came over to pick us up, we couldn't immediately load up the van- we had to stand there with our luggage outside the van until a guard gave the driver the okay for us to go back into the van. this took approximately 5-10 minutes. don't know what that was about but what are you gonna do. So then we all got in and proceeded to the Marriott which took about 10 minutes. The Marriott is very nice and check in was very fast. They gave us the keys to our rooms and there was a letter for me at the desk from the OCC informing me the amenities and "food" I was able to order from room service for free daily while here. The lobby is well-appointed and the bar looked very nice (no tequila for me). The rooms are very nice. We have a double, which I took and a king which my parents took. Both rooms are very clean. I took pics that I will post later. We settled in and i wanted to go to WalMart to get gatorade and water for postop so I don't have to leave. My mom and I left dad here and exited the hotel and I saw someone exiting cab, so instead of talking to one of the hotel staff about where we wanted to go, depended on the driver knowing where to take us. Well... we drove and drove and drove.. I was so confused. I remember everyone saying that Walmart was in walking distance and there's NO way anyone who had surgery would walk so far! Turns out the driver took us to another Walmart on the other side of town!!! No one spoke any English and I wondered why there were no Americans around!! What a mess! Anyway we made it back safe and sound. That's what I get for being over zealous. The bellman giggled at our adventure when we told him what happened and said that the Walmart we wanted is 3 blocks away. He asked what kind of cab we got in but of course we didn't know. Alls well that ends well

Picked up right on time by the OCC driver but BIG problem- NO AC in the van!! It went out driver Abba says OMG it's about 89 degrees in San Diego right now!! What a mess but it's ok. Maybe when I weigh in tomorrow I will be a pound less {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

RJ, I would think that it would be appropriate for those of us who are preop to ask you to answer some of those questions for us. From the looks of your before and after pictures, you have had success with your sleeve. Maybe you can answer them for some of us.

My preop diet is going well so far. In the first few days, I was dropping like 3-4lbs daily, then it slowed down to 1lb or less daily. So far in the past few weeks, I've lost 25lb from the start and 33lbs from my highest weight. Hopefully when I weigh myself tomorrow, I'll be in twunderland (don't know how to spell it!). Haven't seen the 200s in a couple years!

After all the protein drinks I've tried, this one is at the top of my list. It's the one thing I've had that tastes nothing like protein (you now the aftertaste factor). I had it for a week and I didn't open it since I was trying other things and I wish I opened it sooner! I will be ordering more containers today so I don't run out. It's one scoop to 8 ounces of water and you get 17 scoops in a container. I mix it with a bit more water than that and it's perfect for me. I'm out of town right now, but when I get back home I'm going try the unflavored and post on it tomorrow. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

I think I would literally choke someone for three French fries! Just 3 fries!!! I'm not hungry but I just keep smelling what people are eating around me is annoying!!! The smell seems stronger for some reason. Weird. Even when someone was eating crackers next to me I could smell it. One of my coworkers was standing over me eating a cookie the other day and I had to get up and walk away! I was so annoyed! I have 2 more days of work left before I get sleeved Monday.
