I know its hard to not see the scale move daily, but geez- some of us really need to give ourselves a break. You're not going to lose weight daily or even weekly sometimes. I don't like the whole "stall" term either for people who have recently had surgery. People please don't forget YOU JUST HAD SURGERY! Your body has to adjust and the weight loss will come. Do what your doctor says and be a bit more patient. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -

Milk of Magnesia is my BFF. I had to call on Jesus, Mary, and Joseph for relief the 1st time and it was about a 3 hour endeavor after 2 MOM doses over 24 hours time. I cried a little {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -
Unjury unflavored powder

Totally detectable and I can ALWAYS smell it. I mix it in sour cream if I put it on top of something, my Malto meal or broths, and I add it to my Drinkable yogurt (Yakult light and lime FF Greek yogurt in my blender bottle). Most of what I've used it in has been cream based. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -
And the name back2barb I need to get back to what I used to be- a heathy, fit, easy on the eyes, nice hips and thighs kinda woman (like Barbie) I had lost over 100lbs on my own prior to nursing school and in my Quest to be valedictorian (which I did by the way), stopped exercising and became a major fat a$@, gaining it all back plus much more through my career the past 4 years. Added the year of my birth in case someone else is trying to get back2barb after letting themselves go too. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(}

The vitamin never upset my stomach at all and never felt sick with the shakes. The only real nausea I had was postop at the OCC and EVERYTHING was making me nauseous a few days prior to purées but that was scent just as much if not more than taste. What vitamin do you take? Iron may be the culprit. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -

If your stomach leaks when you go home you would have to get medical care there, but you have a leak test there before you go home. I was scared about my tummy popping-I daydreamed that it popped! I just sipped small amounts at a time and checked my temperature repeatedly. The other thing is that you have a drain for 3 days. If any stomach bile/acid were leaking into the abdomen not only would you be extremely uncomfortable from the acid on your organs, but the drainage would be discolored. I loved the drain and was sad for it to come out. It eased my mind. They don't do endoscopy preop. I had a 2-3 hour car ride home for which I left a pillow in my car. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -

So funny you mentioned these things were on the top of my list I worried about. I specifically asked my boy if I smell and he said no. We've been together a long time and have no issues telling each other what it is. I never had any smelly urine or smelly breath- none of what I read on here. I've had people with me regularly and haven't seen anyone give me a side eye (I've been watching). I never pooped anywhere either! You get up quickly after surgery and will be able to go to the bathroom when you start walking. Some of the people who did that were told to take laxatives the day/night before. Don't do that! I will confess I gave myself an enema that morning but I'm aware of how these affect me and wouldn't have done it otherwise. I would've been fine without it. You don't receive any meds that have anything to do with your bowels. {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -

It depends on what type of device your on. You may see a + sign or "advanced" option on your screen or some type of button at the top or bottom when you go to write a comment. If you're talking about your main picture you may just have to tap/click on the empty box (again it depends on your device) and add then. Just click on the random buttons you see and I'm sure you'll find it {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -

tall female sleevers...
back2barb78 replied to elhudge's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm 5'9" and I had set my 1st personal goal at 220lbs and my second at 170, but am flexible. The nutritionist set my weight for 177 lbs but measured me at 5'8" for some reason but I know that's wrong. I plan on seeing how I feel as I get to each weight. I have yo-yoed through the years and blew UP once I started nursing school and never went back. I've seen myself at a lot of weights and hope I don't go into/below 160s. For my frame it's a bit thin and my hip bones start sticking out and people started questioning what was up (people don't know if they want you fat or thin). Everyones version of thin is relative and my boy also doesn't care for it. I guess I'll see what happens {)i(} Sent from my iPhone using VST {)i(} -
