  2. Im on full liquids for 2 weeks then pureed foods for 2 weeks. Probably best to get in touch with your doctor and explain they gave you 2 different sets of instructions and which they want you to follow

    Water question

I'm surprised at how many sips I'm able to take and a little over a week post op. Just don't push it and you'll know when you do. WIth everything from here on out it just takes time.

    5 days post op

Everyone is different. I'm just over a week post op and have been able to walk 5 miles a day with no problem although today I did wake up with a pain in my side where they pulled my stomach through. I haven't walked my dogs this soon after surgery, and actually just bought a harness for one of them since he pulls. Just take your time, stick with it and you'll do great! I

    Twinlab Bariatric Support Chewable Multi

I bought all of my vitamins from the twinlab bariatric support. I had seen them on vitamin shoppe and decided to give them a try. They don't taste that bad I think once I finish the calcium citrate I need a diff flavor not fond of the citrus.

    Love unjury

I can't taste anything when I use it. I have used it in soups and it blends right in I don't usually use a full scoop because the scoop in that container is HUGE. It might make the texture a little thicker. Instead of cream of wheat I've been using baby cereal and I do need to use a bit more water/milk to thin it out but can't taste it at all.

    Surviving the liquid stage

Broth can get tiring. I mostly did protein shakes made with water because my liquid diet was pretty strict. But you just have to stick it out. How long is yours?

    Any New Jersey Gastric Sleevers?

I live in Bridgewater. I was sleeved October 9th at Overlook by Dr. James Lopes

    Dr. James Lopes

I'm already welling up with tears at the thought of this incredible man. He has completely changed my life. I am so lucky that my mom found him off the internet and that everything has been so amazing. From the first time I met Dr. Lopes in his office I knew that he was the perfect surgeon for me. His knowledge, professionalism, and you can truly feel how much he cares about his patients. This entire process, while there were some hiccups, has really been completely smooth. My mind was completely at ease the morning of surgery and when Dr. Lopes met with my mother and I he turned to my mother and said the absolute sweetest thing "Don't worry I'll take good care of her." I was completely calm as they wheeled me in the OR with his hand on my hip he told me to dream about something good before I was put to sleep. He went through everything with my mom following surgery and thanked her for being so supportive. This man even called that night to talk to me, the night nurse handed me the phone. I was in doing my barium test and in he walked still in scrubs from either coming from or going to surgery. I am so eternally happy with my decision to have Dr. Lopes do my surgery. Not only has he been amazing but so has his office with any help I have needed.

    Liquids day 1 sucks

Day 5 and for some reason I want meat in the worst way. I don't actually feel hungry but my mind is like hey psycho you need to eat something. Only 9 more days to go. Wish this would turn into like a runners high and I wouldn't care

My date is 10-9! I started accumulating stuff slowly just in case things were on back order. It'd be a good idea to look into stuff.

Website dedicated to cooking with protein powder

    Great share!
  23. I was initially very ashamed and had no plans to tell anyone, not even my own brighter. I came to realize as my surgery date continues to get closer that it doesn't matter what other people think. I am doing this for myself, to create a better version of me, and people are either with me or they're not. If they're not then I don't really need to have them in my life. I was extremely ashamed to tell my training coach at the gym. I am a BIG gym rat, I got 4x a week and intern/work there. I eat clean but the weight hasn't come off for me for what ever reason. I was very surprised at how supportive he and all my clients have been with the news of me having this surgery. They are all very happy for me, and feel this is the right step because they see how hard I work. You are doing this for yourself and that's all that matters. You have to be ready to make the personal decision of whether or not to tell people. You don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to, and you always have the community on here to reach out to
