Hang in there! This will pass and you will start losing again. Pay attention to your body and you'll notice it's still changing. Your measurements are continuing to get smaller even when the scale isn't moving. Quit weighing every day and save yourself the frustration. In another month you'll be amazed at the changes!

4 Things I Wish I Would've Known Pre Op
totaloser replied to Tink22-sleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish I would have known how good I would feel six weeks out. I would have done it long ago. All the trauma of the first few weeks is all worthwhile. -
Nsv: Eating At A Food Court Post Surgery
totaloser replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My friend who was also sleeved and myself ordered a chicken breast and squash to share for dinner. I ate a few bites, she ate a few more than me as she was sleeved 9 months ago. There was still 3/4 of the meal left. The waiter looked at us like we were nuts when we asked for a to go box. Made us laugh but he was offended. He thought we didn't like the meal and were taking it home to the dogs. We did finally explain. We ended up answering many questions about our sleeves. He was very curious. -
My boobs are deflating.

Take a deep breath and relax. Tomorrow will come and go and you'll be on the loser's bench and if feels so good! I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. I had a minor bleeding complication which kept me in the hospital for a week but even so I would do it all over again. The scale is moving downward and my clothes are all baggy. It's normal to be nervous and apprehensive. Good luck!

expected weight loss by group
totaloser replied to scootergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm surprised that you see a 45 pound loss in three months as a slow loss! Seriously, would you have lost that weight without the sleeve? You have nothing to complain about. Keep up the good work! -
Think of it this way. Would you have lost 12 pounds in one month without the sleeve? It's a loss whether 12 or 30, it's better than nothing or gaining. Don't compare your loss to others. That will just frustrate you. We're all different. Hang in there! You're doing great!

October Sleevers - Who else
totaloser replied to clefofcividale's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm scheduled October 14th in Minnesota. Been stalking this forum for a while. Lots of good info! Three weeks from today. I'm a little nervous. -
Do you trust your surgeon? Does he have a good track record? Be sure to ask lots of questions and try to connect with other patients who have used the same surgeon. That may alleviate some of your anxiety about surgery. If you read through the forums you will find that the good outweigh the bad as far as surgeries without complications. Good luck. Just think, in a little more than a month we will both be sleeved and on our way to better health!

My surgery is October 14th. I am nervous and excited. I'm not worried about complications as much as I am the emotional adjustment after surgery. food has always been my go to for any reason so I am working on new interests and hobbies. I don't want to replace my food addiction with another poor choice. Congratulations on your 11 pound loss! Keep at it!
