I'm going through the same thing. I was sleeved on 11/26 and I'm down 30 lbs including pre op diet. I'm still on full liquids but I'm not getting enough fluids in. I know I didn't get enough calories in yesterday. I just don't have an appetite. I haven't even had my protein shakes because the one I've been using is making me sick to my stomach. I ordered unjury protein shakes and I'm waiting for it to come in. I hope they are better. I have a follow up appt. today with my doctor so let's see what he says. -
Mrsrny3 - I'm glad to hear all is going well. I didn't think the shakes were that bad except for the strawberry. I hope all goes well with your surgery. I'll keep you in prayer. Good luck and God bless!! Please keep me posted on your progress especially after your surgery.

Andrew0929, how are you making out? -
I'm doing well. I'm still a little sore but only when I've done too much. I'm down 30 lbs. since I've started my journey. This is definitely the best decision I've ever made. How are things for you?
-
Thank you. The pre op diet wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but if you can avoid strawberry. Strawberry was difficult to swallow.
-
I had to pay my co pay every time I went to the doctors which was $10 each visit and I also had a one time program fee of $250 which paid for all my shakes and any and all meetings, additional nut visit, etc. I haven't had to pay any additional fees.

My doctor is Dr. Wasser from Virtua Surgical Specialist. He has been great during my journey.
-
Yes it was. I came home yesterday. In some pain and discomfort because of the gas. But I have been progressing so I'm sure I will be back to "normal" very soon!

What doctor are you planning on using from that group?

Keep in mind that sleeves are a more involved surgery than lapbands are... I hope you have some time coming to recover.. Good luck Yes I do. The dr. put me out until January 6th. I just hope I can make it that long. -

Well surgery day is tomorrow. I'm anxious and getting a little nervous. I'm trying to keep myself busy so I won't have to think to much about it. Please keep me in your prayers! Good luck to all who will be having surgery in the near future!! -

Yes, mine too...I'm on day 7 of my pre op...can't say it's been horrible but this weekend was a struggle. But I only have 8 days until surgery day and I have to say that thinking of that has kept me going strong. When do you start your pre op?

I hope you're doing ok with the pre-op diet. I start mine 1 week from today and am not looking forward to it. I've been sampling protein shakes and so far I hate them all .... I told my boss and a few co-workers that I was going to be out for surgery due to a hiatal hernia, which may be partially true. Had an upper GI and it was inconclusive as to whether or not I have one and my surgeon said if he see's one he'll just repair it. So, I'm going with that, for now ... I'm pretty nervous about the surgery. How are you holding up? So far so good! I'm on day 3 of the pre op diet and to my surprise it hasn't been all that bad. The shakes don't taste all that bad. I'm not cranky either which is surprising as well.I'm not nervous yet but I'm sure I'll be come surgery day. I'm very anxious though. I have my pre-admission testing tomorrow then it will be a waiting game until surgery day.My hernia story is still going strong. I think being on the pre op diet helps because I've already begun losing weight and some have noticed. How did everyone react to your "hiatal hernia" surgery? So far so good!
