5wks out and 40lbs gone!
HannaBanana replied to need2bthin!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That sounds really nice, I'm definitely giving that a try tonight, and will let you know how it works out for me. I need to start getting my Proteins because I am definitely not getting enough of those. Do they contribute to weight loss? Thank you so much for your reply, Hanna xx -

That sounds so good, looks like you're getting everything you need. In the morning I drink a glass of Vitamin Water with no sugar, for lunch I have some chicken soup and for diner I have another glass of vitamin water. That's what I usually eat. This week I was so tempted and ended up eating half a slice of white toast with some ham. It hurt me so badly that I never got tempted again lol. I got no sleep that night, and felt like I was going to die for the first 30 minutes. So, that was definitely a huge mistake on my part. Thanks for your reply, Hanna xx -
Thank you all for your fantastic comments, they were all very helpful, I will now be following all of you through your journeys to see how it goes. It's an amazing feeling to know that we're all in this together, and this wonderful site just makes it so much easier to meet such nice and helpful people. Lots of love, Hanna xx

Also, I'd really like to know if any of you could share your post-op diets with me. I am also 5 weeks post-op, but I'm having a hard time with my diet. I have not lost the amount that I had expected. Thank you, Hanna xx -

Feel the exact same way. Sometimes it just get's unbearable, and I end up throwing up. I got worried and thought I had a gastric leak, but now that I'm feeling better I'm hoping it was just a temporary phase. Do you have any tricks for the esophageal spasms? Hanna xx -

So I am now 5 weeks post-op and I've managed to lose 20 pounds the first 4 weeks, but now I kind of feel like it's not going anywhere. I think it's my diet that's all wrong. I got my operation done in Belgium, and now that I am back home I'm no longer following the rules. For starters I feel like I'm not drinking enough water, because for some reason ever since I had the operation, drinking plain water makes me want to throw up, so now I just mix it with lime juice. Also, I found this frozen curry soup with vegetables and chicken pieces, and that seems to be the only thing I eat now. If I try to eat anything other than that, I start feeling nauseous and suddenly whatever I ate seems to stop at the middle of my chest. It's like a huge ball of food stuck inside of me and it makes me feel so uncomfortable and sick. Sometimes I'll even throw up. Is this normal? Or is it simply because I am not eating the right food? I would really appreciate it if y'all could share some of your post-op diets or any experiences of the such? Thank you, Hanna
