Trust me...it gets way better. I'm almost nine months out and just 20 pounds from goal weight of 130-135. Just follow the plan set by your doctor and exercise. Eventually, everything falls into place and you won't remember the beginner blues.

Most Surprising NSVs?

All of my shoes are too big at 7wks post op. From 7.5 women to 6.5 that quick. When I was under a size 10 in the past, I wore 5.5-6 women. Waiting on more changes...lol -
I would drink milk of magnesia every day until then. That is a serious matter. Since surgergy I drink MOM at least 1 time a week to prevent bowel obstruction/locking.

I lost the first 48 b4 surgery...its been about 15-22 in 5weeks. I guess its ok since its about 3 to 4 pounds per wk. I have to remember that I have some time to lose the last 58 pounds.
-
Amazing...beautiful lady! Im so scared bc my hw 242...cw198..slow loser. It has been 5 wks. I have to lose 58 more pounds. I make 5 months in February so Im hoping mine is just taking its sweet time. How was your weight loss experience? Was it slow at first? Any tips for us?

I started my reg meds...bp, cholesterol, and plavix 2 days after the surgery. I havent had any complications whatsoever.

Yep...41g of sugar...1 carb. I will try to make one at home. Surprisingly the 41g of sugar is the only sugar I have in a day. My doc said just eat less and protein first....protein protein protein. Are any of you all using myfitnesspal
-
I just noticed 41 g of sugar. I still lost 3 pounds in 3 days but I wonder what our docs say about sugar content. I might havr to make my gladiator smoothie at home with raw honey to avoid the sugar. Btw I tried the gladiator with strawberry protein today... yummy!!!

The gladiator smoothie is the healthiest smoothie at Smoothie King. Get it plain with any type of fruits from the list. The small cup is 180 calories and 45g of protein. I usually do strawberry and pineapple or strawberry and raspberry. The rest of the day I eat my hard boiled eggs for snack or breakfast...a few shrimp or piece of chicken for dinner and my water. Its easier for me. The smoothie also makes me full.

Slow loser right hea!!! Hw 242 (2011)..cw 199-200...since surgery 15 pounds. I exercise, eat, and didnt have any complications since surgery. Thinking I should up my calories bc it might not be enough. I will track the remainder of the week. -
Hello everyone. Im up this morning trying to wrap my mind around my slow loss. Im 6wks post op (sleeved 9/10)and Ive lost only 15 pounds since preop. My doc told me I have 60 more pounds to go but this is really slow. Since 2011, my grand total for weight loss is 42 pounds. I definitely feel better but I dont know what I am doing wrong. I feel restriction in my tummy and still get constipated a lot. I take MOM, all vitamins and fiber supplements, exercise, and eat very little. I havent had juice, sweets, rice, pasta or much of anything. I eat a boiled egg for breakfast or 5 bites of grits/scrambled eggs. For lunch, a small piece of meat or few shrimp. Snack...boiled egg and dinner some type of meat and maybe a few bites of mashed potatoes. I finish all meals by 7 pm. Im not even eating 700 or 800 calories a day. Im considering going bk to liquids for some meals. I just dont know what to do anymore...

I have a cold too. I took claritin and cough drops. I had a low temp fever but that went away. Definitely was not a leak...just seasonal cold. -
