Hi, I definitely would like to keep in touch. No one knows about my WLS decision but my hubby. I live in Pearland and I am having the surgery with Dr.Garcia on Sept. 10th in Tijuana. Any advice you can give me for Tijuana???

Hello,everyone! I am September 10th with Dr. Garcia. Staying at Marriott. .hospital is Mi Doctor. On 1 wk pre-op diet...3 protein shakes abd 1 salad with grilled chicken n low fat dressing. The day b4 surgery I get to have breakfast and then just clear liquids. Im starving on this preop but I am excited! I will be in TJ from Sept. 9th-14th.

My hubby ate a salad with me and it seemed like I needed 3 more salads. I need to drink more Water and I only drank 1/2 of one Protein Shake. I will ask the doc if I can have yogurt. It feels like a food monster is crawling out of my stomach. Lol!

Y'all. ..I am starving on this preop diet. 3 Protein shakes and 1 salad with grilled chicken/low fat dressing. I need to CHEW something. Lord, help my greedy butt. Has anyone returned from Tijuana? If so,please share your experience.

What doctors are you all referring to? Some of us have gone to various parts of Mexico and some of us are on our way. Not being rude,but please share info that can HELP us make wise choices. This seems more like a "slambook" instead of an informative thread pertaining self-pay in Mexico. Let's discuss precautionary measures, specific places,symptoms, or detailed accounts of incidences. Just my thoughts! Pro-active over here...

Yes...I start 7 day pre-op on Sunday. I will be in surgery in 10days. Lord, I am ready but so nervous. Yesterday, I met with a young lady that had it done and it was confirmation for me. I just happened to mention the procedure and she began talking in the beauty salon. We are the exact height and weight with the same goal...140. She gave me her number to be my sleeve sister. She lost 55 pounds in 5 months and looks amazing! She lost the majority in the first two months. We can do this guys!!!

Im south Louisiana native,too! This is crazy but isnt gumbo a Soup?!,!...lol! I dont like Protein shakes and Im lactose intolerant so im on the hunt to prepare for the right, tasty things to be successful. Thank God seafood does well with sleeves...from what Ive heard.

Im 5 feet 1 in. And 215-220...depends on the day. I hate when ppl say I carry my weight well bc I have a smaller waist and butt. Im still OBESE!!!! I am pushing for 130-140 bc of my thick frame.

Don't worry. Flying is the easy part. I'll be there Sept. 9-14. I'm excited and determined to start this the right way and reach my goal. Im ready to get off meds,have more energy, and finally be able to stop hiding parts of my body like my arms. I always wear 3/4 sleeves and have jackets in every color to hide the bulkiness of my arms-even in the heat. I keep singing "Run Free" and "Freedom". Lol! Sleep on the plane...it makes time pass faster! : )
