I bought several different brands and flavored, before surgery.... The unflavored nectar is fine if you add it to something like Soup. I ordered Isopure alpine punch and isopure orange pineapple banana. Both not what I expected but if I mix it with a similar flavor in crystal light it's pretty good. I got the pre mixed ones from costco Premier Protein in chocolate that were handy and really good. Nectar lemon tea flavor is actually pretty good. Very lightly sweetened Nectar Cookies and cream is good if mixed with almond milk. Now, pre surgery I could tolerate any of them at any time. After surgery the isopure flavored with crystal light have been easiest to get down as well as the lemon tea flavor. The cookie one.. Ugh I just can't right now 11 days post op. or any of the chocolate flavored in general make me gag. And a flavor I like today I won't like tomorrow lol it's like my friend who is pregnant... We compare notes on what we hate today vs yesterday ..., Good luck finding something you enjoy!

I'm 10 days out still can't and I am soooo hoping i can soon. I'm such a stomach sleeper. But I got a body pillow I use and then wedge another pillow between me and the bed as i lay on my right side... It's as close as I can get to comfy right now

I'm sorry. That's terrible.

I was expecting really dry hair as that's what people told me was gonna happen, I'm only 10 days out and my hair is still as oily as it was before.. How long did it take for hair to fall out like that? I started using ovation cell therapy the week before surgery and have been using it since. Not sure if that's what's helping or not.

Surgery 10 days ago and my blood sugar is kinda up and down daily. So some days I take meds other days I don't... It's kinda weird. But it's still much lower than it was before surgery. I think it's gonna be a little weird till more weight comes off.

Unfortunately I'm diabetic. So until I lose enough weight and my blood sugars are always at a good level... I have to worry about sugar content. I use almond milk in my Protein shakes and it makes them creamy. Doesn't add protein and it only adds 30 calories since I use the unsweetened kind.

Ugh I wish I could but it has too much sugar in it per serving... So I use almond milk.

Oh Lordy she sounds insane. My nut. Told me the goal is to eventually get to where I'm eating a specific amount of Protein and on a regular schedule... But she told me its not always easy at first it takes time... I understand about getting paid it was my first worry.

I try to get all the Protein in but seriously I can't I try but can't I'm still on post op liquid diet. I still have a week and a half to go. It's only been 9 days since surgery. I'm able to get Water in easily as an all day sipping thing but I'm staying hydrated... My surgeon took me off work for 6 weeks

Unfortunately they had to submit my paperwork again after the last appt.. Which was July 3rd so i knew it would be longer than usual... But it wasn't too long I was approved on July 22 my surgery was 8/12

I had zero issues with my center of excellence in Orange County ca. I was at chapman medical center... I know the fountain valley office does things a bit different. The program manager at chapman kept me in the loop told me the day it was submitted for approval then denied because my insurance wanted one more nutrition appt. then the re submittal she was excellent! Sorry you guys are having trouble.

I have Aetna and they required 90 days of nutrition classes/ supervised diet. I finished and they decided that I needed 1 more appt. which seriously was ridiculous... But you jump through the hoops the insurance makes you jump through in order to get what you need. It's just the way it works...

Lol oh I knew I'd feel like I got hit by a truck. My mom was so nervous I think maybe I felt like I needed to stay calm

I for some reason wasn't scared or nervous... I still have no idea why. I was calm and I think it kinda made the nurse prepping me nervous.
