    August sleevers progress

Hi all, Surgery date 8/7/13 Highest weight: 705 (dec2012) Surgery weight: 631 Weight today: 560 I get in about 500+/- cal a day. I've been experiencing a lot of free floating nausa since week 4 or so, mostly on an empty stomach or water (surprisingly not so much after eating). Started walking again last week and am up to 1/2 mile a day (with a rest or two). Good luck everybody!
  2. For me it has just started improving when I got cleared to move to soft Proteins (including beans(lentil soup)) and my Fiber intake went from 0 to over 30 a day ( I ramped up gradually). I'm still so "traumatized" from the Experiences of constipation during the first two weeks ( stool softeners weren't working) that I'm still afraid to go, but each time gets a bit easier. If you can't move on to beans/food based fiber yet in your program, I'd recommend adding miralax, or the cvs brand purelax. The draw moisture into the tract and make things softer.
  3. Honestly, I experienced the same.... terrible gas pain that lasted the first 2 days. (was sleeved 3weeks ago). It really was awful. It was the first thing I was aware of coming out of the anesthesia and no amount of painkillers or burping would help it. It felt like something terribly wrong behind my solar plexus, a sharp, constant pressure.... and hurt my back in the same spot as well. On day 2 it started moving down a bit. The nurses and my surgeon reassured me that everything about it was normal and that it would pass. After an awful sleepless night on night two it did just that.... Once my digestive system started to 'wake up' it Cleared up totally by the third morning and I've been pain free ever since. Congrats on surgery and here's hoping the pain clears up quickly.
