    Post Op Day 2

Got sleeved on 12/2/13. The first day I had horrendous pain but today feel a million times better. Was released from the hospital today. It does hurt to sip, but changing the temp worked for me. Also I got peach tea flavored crystal light at the hospital and tried it and it was more tolerable to drink. I never liked peach flavored drinks before but I tried it anyway and liked it, strange lol. They also gave me sugar free popsicles (bomb pops) those were good too.
  2. And please, don't be sorry. We are all on this forum to jump in, talk, and support each other.
  3. I like it so far. Most of the staff is great, a couple could be a little bit more people oriented, maybe they were just having a bad day. It was just personality, nothing about the medical professionals, but overall it has been a good experience. Dr. Mikhail is great and I feel very comfortable with him. I haven't met Dr. Rosen yet. If anyone wanted to meet to talk about anything, kinda like our own support group, I am willing. I live in Beverly. You should be starting the pre-op diet soon. You have to let us all know how its going
  4. I just got my surgery date for 12/2 with Dr. Rosen and Dr. Mikhail, very excited and nervous!
  5. No, I haven't met him yet, how is he? I know Dr. Mikhail has some good experience in performing the sleeve. I am a RN and Paramedic and recognized him from Christ hospital. He was a trauma surgeon there and then spent time at the Cleveland clinic doing bariatric surgeries. I drilled him on the questions when I had my consult
  6. I live in beverly. So pretty close to palos. I feel like I am sooo ready But I'm sure the nerves will kick in when I'm actually scheduled and the day is closer. My consult was with Dr. Mikhail, he was great, loved his bedside manor.
  7. Wow, Dec 3rd was the earliest. That stinks. I have my 2nd psych appt for the MMPI test on mon 10/14, then hopefully I can schedule. My Insurance required it be 2 appt's as well. Good Luck!
  8. Chicago, my surgeon is in Downers Grove through Good Samaritan Hosp. He referred me to a couple of PSY-D's that work out of Good Sam's outpatient psych
  9. I go for my psych eval on monday. My surgeon referred me to Dr. Kenneth Davison for the psych evaluation. I'm a bit nervous about this, any tips??
  10. congrats, I have 1 more visit for my 6 month supervised weight loss program then I get my referral for the surgeon, then go through all of the next steps. How hard was it to get approved by your insurance? How was the psych eval? Where are you getting your surgery done. Sorry for so many questions. I am just so ready to get approved and get this done
