August Sleevers?
lazerider replied to Brettharris35's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello sleeved August 18,2013. I am down 45 lbs. I have set two goals, my first is going from 245 surgery weight to 200 lbs current weight , This took me 2 1/2 months. My next goal is to reach 150-160. Depending on how I feel and look. My health issues prior to surgery is gone. I feel wonderful I have gone down 2 pants sizes and 3 dress sizes. This journey is not a quick fix in my book. It took years to get to where surgery was my only option to becoming healthy again. So one day at a time and slow and steady for me. I am eating very small meals. More water is key This journey is something that I would consider all over again Hope all of you sleevers know how great this experience is and hearing all if you stories is outstanding keep up the great work. Till next time Day if surgery 245 2 1/2 months later 200 -
Hello My SD was. 8-19-13, coming up on almost 2 months I can finally say I am GREAT. After 2 additional hospital visits, unable to keep any food or liquids down, at the end of September I realized that eating my first meal and keeping it down was a celebration for me. My weight for surgery was 240 as if today I am down 40 this was my first goal of 200 lbs. this is something to celebrate. I set up 2 goals the first 40 lbs and my next goal is loss between 30 & 40 lbs. this weight loss journey was hard at times , but this bright light is getting closer. My BP is not controlled with meds, by border line High Sugar is gone my knees don't hurt when I walk or climb stairs. My clothes are fitting normal again. Went down 3-4 dress sizes and my jeans are down to 14 from size 18 women ( size 20) we cheat when we shop. Looking forward to getting back to work 2 months out was great, but my mind is losing itself. Till later Thank you for all the support

Hello Was sleeved on 8/19/13. In the hospital my time was normal no pain no trouble, went home and then all hell broke lose. Left hospital on Wednesday, on Sunday in the ER because of dehydration, was released went to see my doctor and he places me Back in the hospital, my blood Levels was all over the place, stayed in the Hospital for Three days on IV fluids only, was told I will Need to stay home and rest till mid October. At home I was unable to hold any food down or in. Today Sunday 9-28-13 is my first time that I had a meal and It stayed down. I did not Run to the bathroom after eating. I am down 4 dress sizes. I am not a friend to the scale, so I don't know my total went lose. But to all the sleeves , there is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is so worth it for all the people who is thinking that this was a mistake. At the end of the day this was all about getting healthy off meds and betting the odds against the troubles we went through before we had surgery. This is a life long change and not something that will be fixed overnight. It was not created overnight Till next time Keep your head held high

Hello my SD was Wednesday August 19,2013. I was in the ER on the Sunday following my release date of August 21,13 for dehydration, came home the same day, went to visit my DR and was re admitted for more dehydration , stay in the hospital for three days, I was told I would need more time at home So as of now I will be returning to work in October it will be two whole months of being home. My suggestion is don't rush and take it easy. Jobs will be there but our health is more important I am resting and following all of the doctors orders

Dehydration at 5 weeks out...
lazerider replied to Daydra's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey I have almost the same thing, surgery 8/19/2013. I have been unable to keep anything down. It comes out either end. Had two hospital visits due to dehydration the feeling is my body telling me to slow down and re group. I am not keeping fluids down had a second swallow test to check for anything that was wrong. My doctor told me my stomach is still not at its normal size. I am slowly resting and trying to get fluids in my blood work is all over the place. -
Hi I am no stranger to trying to loss weight, 5 years ago had the lap band placed, what a mistake, had to have it removed now after being frustrated with the office staff and the insurance company, I am now going on 2 week post surgery for the sleeve procedure. The weeks after surgery not so bad. The worst part was that my body system was not completely clean. So I felt like it was purging all food out of my system, having to run to the bathroom was no joy. My surgery was on August 19,2013 and as of today I am down 15 pounds and I am feeling good
