Thank you Tiki for the Onderland reference. I hit it this morning. I reset the scale 3 times and even reinstalled the batteries to make sure. 5 months, 8 days and 33 hours after surgery. ( not that I'm counting) There was a naked dance - I decided to spare the neighbors.

3 week stall. Ugh
baby steps in boston replied to Zoumommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5 months out and 60 lbs down. I've had several "stalls". I'll loose 3 lbs in a week and then nothing for two weeks. As long as it isn't going up I'm a happy camper. It took me 10 years to gain 115lbs. If it takes me a year or two to loose it. I'm ahead of schedule. It's a scalpel, not a magic wand. -
Onederland what a great name for it! I'm 5 lbs away. (5 months post surgery ) I'm not sure what I'll do when I hit it. Naked dancing in the street is a possibility!

Telling people about surgery... Advice needed
baby steps in boston replied to takefeline's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was very hesitant about telling people. I made the decision to let my close friends know about 1 week before surgery. I have received nothing but positive support. I did the surgery for me, so at the end of the day mine is the only opinion that matters. I'm 6 months out and haven't heard a negative word from anyone. I hope you find the same support. -

This day is a long time coming. I have just received my appointment with the Surgeon. I'm excited and terrified. I feels like i have been looking forward to this for ever. I know it is the right decision for me. I trust the medical team. I trust the support of my family. Now I need to trust ME..
