I haven't been here for a while but I always seem to get good advice when I do come. Im not sure what happened, but the other day I started choking in my sleep. It was a funny tasting acid I was choking on. I was up a few times throwing up trying to get rid of what ever was there. Now for two night in a row it has happened, Im not sure of what to do or even who to call. I just moved to Colorado 3 weeks ago and of course I know nobody. I did have fill done a few weeks before I left with a heavy saline, I think that was a mistake. Then with the elevation my band has gotten tighter. If anyone has a name of a doctor or any answers for me I would greatly appriciate it !!!

I went to Mexico. Im so excited for this to air I can't wait another week. I have to date lost 16 lbs. I know I still have a long way to go, but by the grace of God I will make it. I will get a taping of the show and my surgery, I want to burn it and send it out to people that have not had the surgery yet, so they can see whats it's all about. What a bad person I have been. I have been so busy and not on the computer much to read the post. I am so sorry. I loved my experience with Dr. Rumbaut. I wouldn't change anything he was great and loved his team. Let me knoe how your expirence is when you get back. I promise it won't take me to long to write back.

I was banded on 4-7-2005 at 299 lbs. by Dr. Rumbaut. I have the 9.75 inamed band. I went TJ, Mexico for a fluro fill 6-21-2005. Under fluro they put 2.8 first fill and I was up all through the night throwing up again and again. I had it backed off to 2.3 and was still really uncomfortable. The next day I had it backed off again to 1.8, wow what a big difference let me tell you. Now today I can really drink water, but can't eat a whole lot, or I throw up. If I eat salad I can eat and eat. Chicken maybe 3 bites and stuffed, Potato 1 bite. I think it all dipends on what your trying to eat. BEEF NO WAY !!! What I would do for a piece of STEAK. :banana I want to start by saying Congratulation! to all that have been banded so far this month. I was banded on Thursday 4-7-05 in Monterrey, Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut. Wow! I can't say enough about him and his staff!!!!! Great people. Im not sure what one of my doctors names is but I know I had 3. My mother and I were treated like royalty. The hospital was very clean and very pretty. Marble was everywhere. The day of my flight was horrible. I was told when I reserved my airline tickets that a voters regerstation card was good enough to show citizenship? Well it's not, So I had to catch the later flight, run all the way back home and get birth certificate and marriage licence. What a way to start. I have good advice GET A PASSPORT !!!!! So any way I made it to Monterrey and had surgery the next morning. I was checked on by the doctors everyday. They even came to my hotel room to see how everything was going. I can't even begin to thank everyone that has helped me, and for that I am very greatfull!!! My journey has started.

Hi Kathy, OOPS!!! You spelled it right and I have fixed mine. Yes, Dr. Rambaut is the one in Monterrey. Im headed there Wed the 6th... I leave Phoenix at 5:30 a.m. do all my pre op testing that day and have surgery at 9:00 a.m. on the 7th and come home the 9th.

I know how you feel about being scared and excited all in one. I should be a old pro at surgery. This will be my 6th surgery in 5 years.... It all started when I turned 30 boy did I fall apart. Here's my surgery list.... Oct 29th 2001...Rectocile & bladder repair, June 20th 2002...Left knee, Dec 15th 2002...Left knee, June 16th 2004...NovaSure(nice name for a DNC), Aug 18th 2004...Hysterectomy, April 7th 2005...Banded I sure hope getting this weight off my bones will make my knee's feel much better, and the gravity wont be pulling everything from the inside out.

Hi all,:Bunny Im new to this board and this is my first time posting. I got the confermation the other day that I fly to Monterrey, Mexico on the 6th of April and have surgery on the 7th with Dr. Rambaut I am so EXCITED I can't wait to loose this life long battle, I have fought for so many years. I will do some before and as we go pictures so everyone can see my progress to my VICTORY !!! I have seen so many posts about everyones success, and am so PROUD of everyone. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
