trillian135 replied to shannyd4's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Great job! I'm at 80lbs lost, but I have not been exercising as much as I should due to arthritic knees. Got to get back to Water aerobics! Keep up the great work! -
Will drinking anything get better and how long

Weirdly enough, the thing I had the most trouble with after surgery was water! I have just started to be able to tolerate water in the last two weeks and I was sleeved July 31, 2013! -
July 2013 Sleevers? Updates!
trillian135 replied to FabMomof4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery date-July 31, 2013 SW-265 CW-214 GW-135 Stalled for 3 weeks but the scale is finally moving in the right direction! I was hoping to be under 200 lbs by my next follow-up on December 2, but I think if I am under 210 by then I will be happy! -
SharonAdams: I am in exactly the same boat! I eat too fasto and have thrown up 3 times. But it was better than feeling like I was having a heart attack! I have hunger pangs too, but try to fill up on Protein shakes. The thought of eating food makes me queasy...

Actually feeling a lot better and even lost 1 lb! I guess the stall is over for now! Back to the gym and I am also finding that now that I am back to work I eat slower and more mindfully and I am able to eat more of a variety of things without feeling ill. Still can't drink Water, but Gatorade is my new best friend! I hope all of you that were having problems are feeling better! I am so glad I found this forum because I really can't talk to anyone at work or friends because they have no idea what we go through! My daughter had the surgery April 23, 2013 but she is 25 yo and recovered almost like nothing happened! She has lost 60 lbs so far and looks fabulous. I am using her as my goal for my 4 month mark. I know people say "you should go at your own pace and not go by how other people do or look", but it helps me stay on track. No way am I going to let her beat me!

My daughter is 4 months out and STILL can't eat salads! Everyone is different, I guess..

I'm getting nervous because I'm almost 4 weeks out and feeling crappy as well. Back to almost all liqids because everything else upsets my stomach. Also feel nauseous and stomach pain and also super tired and easily fatigued...

Rofflehouse: You are right, of course. I think part of my problem is seeing my daughter lose so much weight but forgetting that she stalled too! The weight started falling off of her at two months. Also, I am making myself crazy because before I left for surgery, my coworkers all said "you will be skinny when you come back to work"!! I wanted to be down a lot more before next Monday, but it will come. Off to the gym♡

I had my GS on July 30, 2013 and I am excited about my new journey! I started at 262 lbs, now at 244. I have my first post-op Dr. appt today. I had the best post-op experience. Almost no nausea and absolutely no pain! I actually asked Dr. Burpee when he came in right after surgery if he had to call it off because I didn't feel like I had anything done! So glad I found this site, great info and great place to vent and share achievements!

Start of new chapter in my life!

Yes, I'm down from a size 26 day of surgery to a 22 today. So I guess I've lost some inches! My daughter had the same surgery in April and is down 60 lbs. She stalled until about the 2 month mark, then it started falling off her!! She's stalled again but this time isn't worried about it. She keeps telling me not to weigh myself daily, but its really hard not to! -
Ginger6367: I had my surgery July 30th (three weeks ago today) and my weight has been stalled for 1 and 1/2 weeks now. Also questioning if the surgery was worth it, like some others. Averaging 600 cals per day, working out 1 1/2 hours per day. What gives? When will this end? Getting all my Protein in and about 90 oz fluids (g2 gatorade) in per day...

Tony: Weight lost as of today is only 23lbs. I am averaging 600 cals and have been doing Water aerobics and cardio every day but have completely stalled with weight loss. Very discouraging....how are you doing? -

Thanks! Since I have severe Osteoarthritis in both knees, exercise is slow and difficult which has made my weight loss quite slow. Officially only 17 lbs in 13 days so far. I am desperately counting the days to being able to take my anti-inflammatory and getting more intense workouts in! I also got the ok to swim today, so water aerobic here I come!! -
