Previous Short Term Goal Met: Loss of 75 lb within three months of surgery. New Goal Short Term Set: Be under 200lb by Christmas morning. This may prove difficult as Thanksgiving and Christmas are both holidays of yummy foods and beverage. I have 25lb (aprx 87,500 kcal) to work off and 59 days which equals 0.43 lb per day or aprx 1,450 kcal per day (through exercise and diet) to loose. When this goal is accomplished I will have lost at least 148lb from my highest weight and at least 101lb from pre-surgical weight. On December 31, 2012 a close friend challenged me to lose 100lb within one year and attend an annual hiking/camping event, which I declined to attend last year due to my lack of physical fitness. With the completion of my last goal and the setting of this new one I am on track to meet his challenge. I realize that fitness is not a function of weight loss alone but for me it is the first step. I even bought a new sleeping bag in preparation for the hiking trip. #movemoreeatless #nothingtastesasgoodasskinnyfeels #lessass #livelife #lessofaman [sharedmedia=trackers:tickers:10459]

Stick to your diet like a nun to her vows and you will love the result. I give myself a couple days a month to eat/drink what I want (within the limitations of my sleeve). Down 76lb in 11 weeks. #nuns

I'm a weird place because I work in my local ER as an RN. I know all the Dr's and Nurses there. If something ever happened to me these are the people I want knowing the truth so I don't get steroids, NSAIDS, inappropriate treatment/diagnosis', etc. Also they have all seen me diet and diet and try everything. I have had a couple coworkers attempt to talk me out of it but for the most part all have been happy for me. After I had surgery a week ago the outpouring of support has been humbling and alot of co workers who have had wls have come out of the woodwork to encourage me. Bottom line: I weighed the pros and cons and have accepted responsibility for possible complications and my own compliance and I am proud of my decision and investment in myself, if they don't like it, that's fine. They can kiss my (soon to be smaller) @$$. Lol

It is a lot like a WOMAN sleeve just more whining, complaining, farting and other unsightly expressions. -

I really like "nutrition tracker" because it allows u to set the specific parameters in given by your MD. It is simple and free. I wish included a Water intake field and a pro version w/o ads. But its the one I'm sticking with after trying dozens -
I had my sleeve 1 week ago, down 26 lb. You have inspired me. Do u have any before pics? Any workout/diet advice? How long did this take you? Sorry bout all the q's .

Got sleeved 7 days ago, down 26lb. Missing my RP Vintage1990's like you would not believe and trust me the humidor is stocked. My MD said none 2 weeks before or 2 months after. I think I'm going to wait 3 months. On another note. I brew my own beer so I'm going to have to find a way to squeeze in the occasional homebrewed Vanilla Porter after a couple months too. Any home brewers on here?
