We'd love to have you join us at the Medstar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney. It's not a bad drive from Silver Spring. I make the trip both ways every day.

Stop by the Medstar Montgomery Medical Center on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM. We would love to have you as we come together to support post-op patients and encourage pre-ops. We're a faintly new group, but we are steadily growing

We have a regular support group meeting at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Maryland. We meet the fourth Wednesday each month. It that is convenient to you, we'd love to have you join us. I am told any Bariatric Center of Excellence is required to have such a support group. Check with your surgeon or your hospital to see if they can refer you to a group.

How much time off work, desk job

Give yourself two weeks. While you might feel up to returning earlier, your body will be weak following your pre-op and post-op liquid diet and the stress of the surgery itself. It is a good idea to wait until after your post-op follow up with your surgeon before returning to work. -
VSG (2 Days Post Op)

Glad to hear you had a great team and a great operation. Listen to them and do as they instruct you. Work up to and then be sure to maintain your 64 oz. of fluids. If the protein shakes' consistency starts to bother you, use more fluid to make them and sip them over time, shaking occasionally. We look forward to hearing more. -
Remember that while on the liquids diet, the things you drink are moving through your stomach, not sticking around to begin breaking down. The fluids moving though at this time give the stomach a chance to work on healing instead of digesting.

Be sure to check your individual plan. Your employer MAY have the option of not including certain procedures. This is particularly true if your employer is self-insured and United Heathcare is simply administering your employers plan. Do your homework and tak with your employer's Benefits Manager.
