Does horizon bluecross blue shield allows you to add a sibling?
Mkak replied to donaboss's topic in Insurance & Financing
You would have to be their legal guardian. -
I'm all sorts of messed up, too. From what I read on here it's pretty normal so I'm not going to worry just yet!

Anyone with Hidradenitis suppurativa have the sleeve?
Mkak replied to can't weight's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I too have HS and unfortunately mine actually flared up after surgery. I have a mild case but it progressed to moderate a few weeks post-op. My surgeon advised it is relatively normal for this to happen and it should settle down as my body gets back to normal. I'm praying the weight loss will help clear it up, but who knows? Best of luck to you! -
Morning everyone! CW: 248.7 Down 4.1!

Hey all, I've tried Brad's Raw chips before and they're great and organic (I think). www.bradsrawchips.com I'm far too impatient to dehydrate on my own!

Hi all, my mom had the band about 3 years ago and this past year she has been suffering from terrible reflux at night (like wouldn't sleep for days so bad). Her doctor put her on Sucralfate (it's a little slurry drink she makes about an hour before bed) and that has helped her immensely. GNC also sells something similar. Just another option in case!

2 week post op QUESTION-Need Advice
Mkak replied to guthsj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi girls! Same thing happened to me around 2 weeks. I think it took me a full week or so to lose again. I'm 5 weeks PO now and consistently losing. From the looks of other posts we may be in for a few more of these "no loss" weeks. I switched to weighing in weekly so I didn't drive myself crazy. Weigh in on Thursday and the scale goes right under my bed afterwards. Just a tip that worked for me -
I've got to try these things out. How long did you guys wait post-op to add in protein bars?

Amazing! Keep up the great work! -
Hey everyone! Sleeved on 8/15 and have been doing really well. However, the past 3 days I feel like I have hit a brick wall. Headaches, weak, fatigued, etc. I'm working out pretty hard so maybe I'm just overdoing it? Anyone else had a rough week 5 and/or 6? Thanks!

Awesome news! Congrats! My doctor's scale is 2 pounds more than mine, too! Haha I was just telling my mom yesterday that I like mine better! Keep up the good work!

Prior to my sleeve surgery (still too early post-op to try to introduce this just yet myself) I would make the following smoothie every morning: 2/3 c. almond milk 1/4 c. Greek yogurt 1/2 banana 1 tbsp. Peanut Butter 2 tbsp. ground flax seed 3-4 frozen strawberries (or whatever fruit I had on hand) 1 1/2 c. baby spinach Blended up in my magic bullet and called it a day. The peanut butter and flax give it a nutty taste and the banana masks the spinach flavor (and I don't even eat salads so I truly can't taste it). This makes a pretty big smoothie, so I would maybe start with half if you're going to try it. A blog I love, www.skinnytaste.com, turned me onto them and she has a slew of variations. Let me know if you try it!

Ah good to hear, I'm doing hiking and walking too. Thank you very much for the info! Love all you posts. You're my fitness hero on here!

I switched from daily to weekly (was driving myself bonkers with daily weigh ins). This morning was my first weekly weigh in and I was so anxious last night I could barely sleep. Sounds so silly, but it's the way my mind works!

Fiddle, off topic, but very curious how long it took you to feel like you were in pretty good shape? I'm 5 weeks PO and literally dying at the gym. Kind of surprised me at how out of shape I actually am! Even Couch to 5K is kicking my butt!

Janet, I had my surgery on 8/15, too! How are you doing?!
