UGH, same here. My lower stomach is particularly "cute." Very interested to hear the feedback from the vets on this one. -

1 year post op 110lbs down @ goal!
Mkak replied to SleeveNZ's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Woohoo! So inspirational! We have very similar starting stats and I'm hoping to say I am 165 someday! Congratulations! -
Am now 2 pounds away from meeting 50% of my weight loss goal. So what do I do? Completely fall (OK, I face planted) off the wagon this weekend. Makes perfect sense, right? I know I want to get to goal more than anything in the world right now, so why did I do this? This is my usual MO when I tried to lose weight in the past. Lose a bunch, people notice, get to a goal, then revert back to old ways and gain everything back. Any fellow self saboteurs out there that can offer some advice on what you've done to prevent future sabotage attempts?

Veterans! Need your insight!

Hey endless, do Probiotics help with reflux/GERD? I'm on a PPI now, but still get some slight issues here and there. I'll pop a probiotic for sure if it will help -
I hope you love it, too! I swear it's what got me through my last two weeks of full liquids. If you haven't checked it out yet, Google "World According to Egg Face." It's a great site with a slew of tips and recipes.

It's powdered peanut butter (has less fat and calories though) I add it to my chocolate protein shakes and it is amazing! I buy it at Whole Foods, but I've seen a few folks on here say their Wal-Mart carries it.
-
It does! I promise! And to be honest, you'll love the feeling you get when you see those pounds flying off MUCH more than the feeling you used to get after polishing off a plate of (insert food of choice here) Make sure you're getting your Protein shakes in (if you're cleared for those by your surgeon of course). That will help you stay full and keep your mind off other foods. Try jazzing them up with PB2, coconut milk, etc. for variety!
-
You can do this! It felt like an eternity at the time, but now at almost 12 weeks out I barely even remember those annoying phases. I promise, it will be worth it!

Thank you all for the feedback! I definitely use my weight as a security blanket, hit the nail right on the head there. You're all right, tomorrow is a new day and I'm trashing this "womp, womp, womp" attitude along with all the processed crap in my pantry! Good luck erp, let me know how you do this week!

Yes, would love to know what you found! Good luck, Amanda!

Help. Bright red blood in diarrhea
Mkak replied to krystalherrington's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with everyone definitely call your doctor! Just a side note, early out I too thought I was passing blood but turned out just to be dis colored because I was consuming SO much Powerade (oh my gosh that sounds so gross I'm sorry!). Reason for telling is try not to freak yet! -
Holy smokes! Looking amazing! Keep on doing whatever you're doing girlfriend!

2 words: Role model. I will give my left leg for that flat belly! Please share your secret. Although it's smaller than 3 months ago, mines looking like a wrinkled, dimply mess these days!
-
You are seriously reading my mind! I don't know why but I am obsessed with setting a goal and keep going back and forth between 165 or 175. Maybe 170 is the answer LOL?

4 weeks post-op troubles
Mkak replied to melliratt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like a stall to me. I think I've seen every person on this board post about it at least once in their journey! I'm only 3 months out so I'm not the best to offer advice yet, but when I had my little blip I stopped weighing daily and switched to once a week. Definitely helped my head not get so crazy about small fluctuations. Are you getting in enough Water and Protein? Search "stall" on here and you'll find a zillion tips and pointers! -
OK, haven't checked in since I joined, but finally hit 100.6 yesterday. One day to spare haha! Last month I logged 120 (no idea how I managed that) so I am going to make that my November goal. Loved following everyone's updates! Great job to all!
