Day 12 of liquid diet and almost killed someone at the movies last night
mummytolewis replied to melmel11's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took my littleboy to see despicable me 2 yesterday and bought him popcorn and Pepsi max I also had a couple of mini cheese crackers bags in my bag for him, I had a cup of tea, It doesnt bother me so much because its my littleman I took him to McDonald's after for a happy meal and again I had tea, I just figure there's no point avoiding these situations because you just gotta accept you, ve made a positive change to your eating and life goes on and I wont deprive my littleman the occasional treat. -
Lol I did, nt start mine on day 1 it started on day 2! I had a Chinese food funeral on day 1 lol :-/, dont worry it wont make any difference if you start a day late, my surgeon said my liver was perfect :-D

Anyone else getting sleeved in August?
mummytolewis replied to Living4Me's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I, ve just cooked my family cottage pie and took some to one side and pureed the mincebeef and peppers in gravy, then added powdered milk to my mashed potatoes n butternut squash( for extra protien) and made my own tiny cottage pie in a little dish, and this will still make me around 6 meals so i, ll freeze it, I think as long as your cooking healthy food you can purree or eat if your past liquids, purree stage its fine cooking for family, unless its not what you can eat , like a fryup lol thats gotta be tough. :-) -
I have, nt had alchohol but at 2 wks post op i, m suprised how much fluids I can now drink without sipping especially warm drinks.

Hi in the information diet booklet we are given to follow after surgery it says alcohol not recommended for 12 months:-( this is because we absorb it really quickly post sleeve so you get drunk really fast, and our livers are recovering from being moved about in surgery, I think i, ll have a glass at Christmas definitely which is 5 months post op, sure thats enough time.
