We had surgery October 7! How has it been going for you?

I eat eggs, tuna, oatmeal, today I had a salad grind up really good only 1/2 cup tolerated well. I still do my shakes and skim milk and plenty of water. Somebody else recommended hash and to make a crustless quiche which I may do tomorrow. I still look around and explore for new soft foods so I won't get tired eating the same thing.

Good I lost 16 pounds! Incisions look good! Can start soft foods and I finally was able to go to the bathroom but will get something to help!

Just left my 1st post op visit! I was 265 before starting , preop diet/ day of surgery 258 and today I weighed at 242. I go back in 6 weeks for visit with dietician.

I was going to ask tomorrow. But knew since we aren't able to eat much we wouldn't have a lot in us.

back2barb78 That's one of the questions I was going to ask him if I could take something. When I meant lighter I should said the way my clothes that were too tight on certain areas are loose. But I need to do eliminate soon as well we had our surgery on the same day so it's about time.

I am a stomach sleeper and Saturday night when I woke up I was on my stomach and I am one week out as of Monday. I was sore or in pain when I woke up. I hate sleeping on my back so the following night I put pillows on my sides and woke up laying on top of them.

It's amazing that things are going good for me so far! I was sleeved on 10/7/13. I was able to get out today and take my son to our church picnic! He had a ball and I did too! I brought my shakes and propel zero with me it was nice to get out the house! My soreness is starting to go away and I meet with the doctor on Wednesday and he will give me the go ahead to start the soft/purée food stage! My scale doesn't work I thought if I buy new batteries it will but it doesn't! I will set out to buy one this week!

Congratulations! I was sleeved on Monday and no real pain here just soreness from time to time. Each day does get better.

Each day does get better if you walk and drink your fluids. My doctor has me on a clear liquid diet with skim milk and protein shakes add to that until I see him next week on Wednesday. I am up sitting on the couch now watching television of course I have a pillow under my side and laying at a angle. You will be fine.

Everybody is different. I was sleeved on Monday and I have just the occasional soreness with getting in and out of bed and it was all on how I positioned myself getting up and out of bed. Now since I'm home I still have a little soreness no major pain and plus I started sleeping back on my side day 2 in the hospital and it's easier for me to get up this way.

Sleeved on yesterday. Everything is going good so far. I have no major pains just soreness in my stomach. I got up I. The chair and sat up for a while. They took my catheter out so I am about to take a nap when I wake up I will walk some.

Best of luck to you October Sleeve Buddies! I was sleeve on Monday 7, 2013! I have been doing good so far! Just the occasional soreness from the area been able to get up and move around without any problems my doctor wants me to continue on clear liquids until I see him next week so that's also include my protein shakes, skim milk, water, broth, apple juice and sugar free Popsicles! Just me and my 8 yr old son at home today he's on fall break from school. We slept in late and I was able to get up and fix him breakfast without any problems. So I am happy to have this outcome. I know everyone will be different.

Hi! I took in to much water yesterday and it came right back up no problems after that. It didn't even hurt like I thought it would coming up. I can do sugar free Popsicles as well per my doctor along with the rest if clear liquid and he said skim milk as well until I see him next Wednesday then I can do purée!

Hi! It was a wonderful experience to burp and pass gas! My sister came to visit and I told her ahead of time that is I get the urge I will do it! Lol! I am now home about to take a nap!

I am about to be discharged! I am sore no major pain.

Hi! Sleeved yesterday and everything is going well so far! I have no major pains just sore got up out of be and sat in the chair for a while and after my nap I will walk the hall. How are you so far?
