Did your life change for the better or worse post VSG?
Scarpediem replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved October 2013. No regrets. Down 50 lbs. 50 more to go. I breathe easier, sleep better, feel better overall. Simple things like taking the stairs at work are accomplishments. Before the weight loss I would have to stop half way to coach my breath and lean against the wall. Very impt. To follow Nut and surgeon's instructions. Have to admit exercising more would have put me at a higher weight loss by now, so that is what I will concentrate on. The sleeve for me is live changing, but also life saving. -

The Big Book on the Gastric Sleeve by Alex Brecher. I downloaded to my Ipad..it is an invaluable source and informative book. I highly recommend it. You can also order a hard copy on line through Amazon. It explains EVERYTHING! -

Joining the Loser's Bench Nov.12th

I was sleeved on 10/7 and do not regret it one bit. Of course, following your doctor's and NUT advice helps immensely. Good luck in your journey! Also I found the Big Book on the Vertical sleeve to be a wealth of information. I started reading it about 2 weeks before and still refer to it constantly. -

The BIG Book on the Gastric Sleeve!
Scarpediem replied to Alex Brecher's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This book is a must read. Very informative. My coordinator now references the book to post and pre op patients as an excellent references for all stages of vsg? I highly recommend. -
Having the sleeve done in mid October at Easton Hospital. I researched other programs, and spoke ro other sleevers, and by farA great group of professionals, the best in the Lehigh Valley Area. The pre-operative Pathways classes are interesting and informative and the support group sessions are great! Can't wait to have this done! Bariatric coordinator, Mandy and nutritionist Lisa are awesome..always accessible for questions, advice and encouragement. Dr. Singhal is the surgeon who is very calming and attentive.
