Anyone Have Nightmares Before Surgery
Jammin & Losin replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I did not have nightmares before surgery... but I must say that if you had your galbladder removed this surgery will be very semilar to that. I had my galbladder taken out 1 month before my band was placed (Dr. wouldn't do both in one surgery) You will be fine. Stop all that worrying and get some well needed rest. -

I deffinatly think you got it figured out. The more restriction you have the less you can eat at one time, and the more you lose. Thats how it works!! Now the big question here is how to get you to TJ to get a fill. Also remember the first 4 to 6 weeks are for healing and until you get a fill your band is not working to its full potental... so give it time get a fill and you will see how your band can really work for you.

Pam Thank you for the reassuring words in your post!! This is exactly why I love my band so much. Its there when I'm ready to cooperate... and its still there when I don't. There have definatly been times that I would have not made as good of food choices.Without my band I would have probably given up once again on ever losing weight. With my band I don't feel that way, I know the weight will come off and never return because I'm being good to my band and body and my band is doing its part and as a TEAM it works!!!

List of problem breads for me: Bread/rolls/ cornbread/Even wheat bread bothers me I can eat like 2 or 3 bites of cake but then I start to feel the tightness creaping up and I have to stop at once. I have not had a doughnut since I got banded ( Figure if I cant do rolls I can't do doughnuts) A few regular saltine crackers at a time are okay.... but Cheez its are a no no for me. Its like they gum up different than regular crackers. Oh yeah and those bad old soft tortillia shells are a nightmate.I tried one and it took forever for that terrible stuck feeling to go away and it only went away after the whole thing finally decided to come back up.Talk about the slimes!!! YUCK!!! These things just arent worth the bad feeling I get when I eat them. I don't miss them one little bit!
