Hey Vines... I'm full of secrets... Shhh Don't tell!!! LOL!!! The wrap that you got Vines was deffinatly a way of doing a body wrap... the other way is with long stripes of gause (like ace bandages) Like little sweet Kelly said!!! You explained it well Kelly!!! Either way it is relaxing and could definatly benefit you it lots of ways!

I work at a salon that does body wraps and my knowledge of them has been ~You do lose inches ~ it detoxifies the body ~Results are like anything else. If you do diet and excersice~ watch what you eat~drink lost of Water it stays off. If you don't it will come back on. The lady that does the body wraps has said that she has had someone lose as many as 17 inches before... but typically around 4 to 6(Thats a combind # of inches over the entire body. Results will deffinatly vary depending on how much weight you need to lose and if you do all the other lifestyle changes along with it. The deffinate up side is it can't hurt to try a body wrap even if it is more for the relaxation.

Just wanted to introduce myself
Jammin & Losin replied to a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Tammy It is nice to meet you!! I promise once your banded and the weight is coming off... you will not want to ever change your mind about haveing the best weight loss tool you could possibly have on your side. I started out at 265 and 5'00 tall. I have been over weight since I was about 10 years old. I would lose wieght and gain weight and never could make it much past losing 50 pounds on my own..only to see that same ugly 50 pounds looking me in the face just a few months later. I would eat a whole bag of chips as a teenager and sit in my room and cry because I felt so bad about eating THE WHOLE BAG!! It will take you alot to get use to how your band works and listening to your body and how it reactes to certain foods at different times of the day.... But you can do this..if I can then you can. Since February 2005 I've lost 73 pounds... I promise you It is because I've had my band and it helps me get to the point with my weight that I couldn't get to by myself. Please know this is a really difficult and scary time. You are talking surgery...but it will honestly be the best desicion you could ever make for your self... and you have every right to be worried and anxious... these feelings are perfectly normal and its a big leap that once you take the first step you will never want to go back. Look at this as a wonderful begining of the best journey of your life... the start to a new you.... Do your research think hard because only you can make this desicion!!! Good luck to you !!! -
Calling all March 05 bandsters!
Jammin & Losin replied to Madeline's mom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Christine, Its nice to meet you! Glad you found LBT!! You don't get discouraged. You have lost 36 pounds that will never come back!!! You just try really hard to get back to the basic rules of banding..NO COKES! and if you really don't like your Dr. That much maybe it would benefit you to find a new Dr. It could encourage you and help you more than you probably realize. Sounds to me like you also probably need a fill. How many fills have you had? Good luck to you and keep coming here for suport!! You are making good progress and don't worry about how fast you lose the weight as long as you are losing. If you ever need to talk... I'm always here for you... pm me okay!! -
I'm definatly voting for Antonio Banderas!!!! HE IS SO HOT!!!! I think my eyes are getting fat from all the eye candy!!!! Thank god its only my eyes!!! HEHE!!!

Oh well whatever has helped these celebs lose weight... Band.. GB...and or just diet and excerse ..I think they are all looking good!!

Pat~ I'm only 5'0 tall and I actually found a pair of flair/boot cut jeans the other day at Jcpenny's that fits perfectly in length and size(I'M SO EXCITED THEY WERE 16'S) They are called MIX IT Jeans!! Cute and stylish... they are usually like 40$... but they had them on sale for 26$. I always look for pants that say (short length because petite is always still to long!!

Sally I have problems with eggs.... and I've heard other bandsters say they do too. Yes I think our restriction changes at different times of the day... for me it seems tighter in the mornings and seems to be easier to eat as the day goes on. Give that fill some time get use to how it feels when you eat... chew your food really good and eat your solid Protein first!!! Oh yeah don't drink with your meals wait at least 1 hr before you start drinking again. Good luck
