I don't really have any words of suggestion except...deffinatly be persistant with your Dr. If you question your band is okay...get a second opinion!! Good luvck and keep us posted!! -
Elissa~ It is only natural to question what you have done... but it is also natural to worry to much.. so just setle down and enjoy your success.. If you work with the band it will work with you! Also no offense to anyone that has had Gastric Bypass ... but I met a lady the other day that had GBP and she is so upset and has had major life threatening complications that told me if she had it to do over ...she would have chose the band instead...so my point is you get feed back good or bad from all angles. Take one day at a time follow your bandster rules and you will be a success!! You are new at all this so be easy oon yourself. look at my weight lose 100 pounds if I can do this so can you!! I started at 265 thats alot to weigh when your only 5'00 tall. This band will work ...keep your head high and know that with each day it will get better and your depression will start to demenish when you see the scale going in the right direction1!!!

Thanks BPM I think the soup is really good I had a nice bowl just a little while ago and it did fill me up fast.I did exctly what the recipe called for and cooked it slow for a long time today. I hope to get this last pounds I need to lose off and I just need something to help me find disipline again...hope after a few days of this I will be back to the good ol protein and vegtables and fruit. Maybe this will cut out my junk food I've been eating as of latley!!
-
Marie I think you will do fine with your band surgery.... I was only out of work 1 week and after a couple days the pain was so much better and you just start feeling great when you think about all the weight your losing!! I did need a heating pad on my side and I slept in my husbands recliner for several days...everyone has different experiences but over all I think it is a quick recovery time for most!! Welcome to LBT hope we can help in your journey.... we are always here!!!

Well its offical... I am convenced I need to try this soup...so I have a pot cooking on the stove... I first saw this thread this morning and was going to store and decided to try the soup and picked up the stuff to make it. I've got about 25 more pounds to lose and I'm just plain tired of sitting still latley and I hate the scale isn't moving so its time to change things up a bit and try some soup. I love vegtable soup and this really sounds as if it will hit the spot satisfy hunger and help lose some weight!! Thanks for keeping this thread going and keep the updates on all you soup eaters coming!!!

WOW !!! John... it sounds as if you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time!!! Hope you heal quickly... Can you press charges on this guy??? Theres got to be some way to get him to pay your medicalbills or something!!! Its so unfair that bad things happen to good people..hang in there!! sending a prayer your way!! -
Seppi It would be nice to get to the bottom of the reflux mystery...But what scares me is what if reflux is part of what causes erosion ?? Sorry Paula I kinda got off the poll!!!
-
Just wondering what everyones thought is on this... could reflux be worse in those without a gallbladder after being banded or is the gallbladder even really a factor in this at all?? I never had reflux before banding and my gallbladder was taken out 1 month before banding so I really don't know if that contributes to my reflux or not... at this time I 'm just glad to have had a slight unfill and no problems. with the reflux.. But what happens when I want to get a fill again??? Wonder if Dr. will fill me anymore or say I'm tight enough and with anymore fill I will resume with reflux?? Could this last fill I had be the end of the fill road for me?? Any thoughts or am I just babbling!!:grouphug:
