Hi everyone, I'm from Scotland and going to France for my sleeve op on 18 September. I fly out tomorrow with my friend Susan and am scared beyond belief.

Hello fellow scaredy cats! I too am scared shitless. Am flying to France tomorrow with my friend Susan for my gastric sleeve operation. My operation is on 18 September with Dr Bokobza. My turning point was being told along with my sister that we were lovely girls but that we needed to lose weight. This was in June this year. Firstly by a 93 year old and the second by my 85 year old Aunt. Both within the space of a week. Don't ask me why but this had a big, big effect on me. Yes I've probably heard it many times previously, but this time it struck home. So I'm using part of my retiral money and going for it.
