When I got on the scale this morning it said 299!! I had to reweigh myself to confirm it, I haven't been under 300 in over 10 years, I am so excited I just wanted to share it somewhere I have my 6 week surgery follow-up tomorrow and hopefully will get cleared for going back to my normal cleaning/lifting habits so I can do more I am already off my diabetes medication and now this, this surgery has been so worth it. I had a rough few days at first but I am so glad I did this!

What was worse? Pre-op diet vs. post-op
jcrsmom replied to BigD35's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had 10 days of liquid preop which was much harder for me because I was hungry then. Now I am not hungry and its not as bad -

Now I feel cheated by my lack of pictures of my stomach I did get a picture when they took my gal bladder out a few years ago and that was pretty gross though.... -
Trouble Sleeping since Sleeve
jcrsmom replied to DMH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been having a lot of problems falling asleep since the surgery, I am just wide awake until like 2 am or so, but generally once I am out, I sleep well. -
Problems falling asleep?
jcrsmom replied to jcrsmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess that makes sense. Hopefully it will pass soon. -
I have not had caffeine since before my surgery on 9/27, but strangely my mind is like on overdrive or something and I can't seem to fall asleep easily at night. Getting up in the morning is a challenge but probably because I have been falling asleep around 1-2 am on average instead of 10-11 pm. Anyone else have this issue? I would think the no caffeine (diet coke was my love before surgery, not missing it now) would be making me more tired if anything.

They gave me Zofran for nausea and I also spent an extra night in the hospital because of vomiting there, I think my problem then was more related to the pain medications then anything else. I stopped them the day of the surgery and things slowly got better. I realize you said you are not taking any pain meds so that does not apply. The vomiting was horrible though. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon

Whos in September? We need some September buddies!
jcrsmom replied to janie2024's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I came home yesterday, stayed 2 nights in the hospital because my nausea was so bad dehydration was a concern. I am feeling better today but hoping that I am getting enough water on my own. Will be glad when the next few weeks have passed -
