Hi Healthbound- I'll be using my insurance (Kaiser So Cal) for this procedure. My co-pay will be $250.00. Have you narrowed down your surgeons to just a couple? Which doctor does your gut say to pick? -
My surgery has been scheduled for December 5th and I'm ready! I just wish when the doctor said his surgeries were being scheduled 3-4 weeks out that he actually knew what he was talking about. More like 6 weeks out...I had my hopes set on having it in November. The bright side of this is that I'll have the whole month of December off and maybe the first week of January. *fingers crossed* Anyone else have a date in December?

Hi I'm new to this group and my surgery is scheduled for December 5th! I started my journey in May 2013 by asking my PCP for a referral to Kaiser's (Southern CA) Options program. I completed the Options classes (3 months) on 9/26, met with the surgeon on 10/15 and now have my surgery date. I'm excited that there are so many of us already scheduled for December...it does seem too far away. -

Hi My surgery is scheduled for December 5th!!! My doctor does not require a pre-op diet but I'll be doing a self imposed diet from now until surgery...a shake for Breakfast and lunch and a lean + green diet. Thanks AtlantaRed for pointing out this group to me.
