I've been over weight my entire life, (literally since birth 11lbs! Lol) by the 9th grade I was 300#- I still continued to play sports 6 days a week on travel teams, then I became a drug addict from age 15-22, even remained over weight threw those years. Did alot I wasn't proud of and set myself up for failure. When I finally did get help, 6 months later my thyroid stormed and I found I have graves disease. I had radiated iodine to kill my thyroid with in a year I gained 150#, my body was ready to give up..i was ready to give up. The universe returned some good karma and I received a good job that covered the surgery! I lost about 80# before surgery by starting a raw diet and cutting out sodas. I have become dedicated to an all natural/ organic life style. Believing food is the only medicine your body needs. And leaving all poisons out of my new stomach! Its an amazing start to a new life! People gain weight for a variety of reasons, I think of myself as a survivor, I was not a victim to sexual assault/ violence growing up im a survivor. I will beat and survive obesity. This is my life and I'm here to live, I just have a new tool to take on my journey!
