Hi. .. heres another question. ..I work at least 10-12hrs a day and I am so used to eating on the go! What are some snack/protein that I can take to work and snack on the go. Its so easy to forget to eat until your stomach literally says grrrroul! Any advice on different things any of you guys take to work to snack on or for lunch? New me on the way

I absolutely love this. .. sorry to interrupt the chain because I'm still preop but I love this. I noticed some people open up and mentioned they were afraid of being judged. ..I haven't seen any of that so far and hope that I don't! Congrats to all of you on your confessions. .. How long did your Dr keep you out of work? Is it different time frames for different people? New me on the way

Hi. ..I have so many questions and I'm hoping some post op patients will have patients with me while I ask away...lol... I wanted to know if controlling your emotions and eating was hard those first 3 weeks. ..I hear you have to do an oz of Water every 15 mins? Was that hard? Then Protein. . protein. . what do you all suggest to get inthe daily amount . if I buy a huge container of protein for shakes. . is that good enough? I know this is life changing and I want to be ready. . prepared and aware. Have any of you had to come home on day 2 and just be need ridden? What Vitamins do you have to take our do they suggest? How long should you wait to have sex? How bad is the constipation? Has anyone slipped and taken ibuprofen? Keeping my fingers crossed

Approval took about 3 weeks and I was losing my mind but got the call on Oct 10th. So excited! New me on the way

Good day sleevers! I've been awaiting approval for over a week now. Has anyone ever experienced this long of a wait? For some reason my paperwork ended up in the wrong hands and now they have resubmitted my paperwork. .I'm becoming worried as I see all these pre ops getting approved in 1 day. Sighhhhh. .. I'm starting to lose my mo jo...... patiently waiting

I have waited a long 3 weeks with phone calls. .. anxiety. . And frustration and today. ..I GOT MY APPROVAL CALL! I can't explain how I feel in this moment! Im so excited and I just can't hide it! Lol..Ive been calling. .. emailing and freaking out. I was becoming discouraged and wondering if the wait was a sign. ..But as I'm in a training class in Charlotte today I get the call and literally spaz out once I hear the voice mail in front of my whole class.......ughhhh in excited Keeping my fingers crossed

Just appts...oprifast liquid diet starts on the 12th and 2 more pre op support groups and the egd...so I guess alot but im ready......ready for the big ride baby!! (Faceoff) New me on the way

Go to your search and type in upstate and search. . it should pull up any threads that are from SC... you will see different responses to include mine. I went am going thru GHS.. they are great. . they have pre op.. and post op support groups there add well as nutrition solutions which is connected. It's called Bariatric Solutions of Greenville. Look it up when you have time. . their Web page is full of info to include a calendar of the support groups. All surgeries are done at Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville. .. good luck on your journey and count your blessings for finding this ap.... it is absolutely AWESOME! New me on the way
