That's awesome!! Congrats!

At first I didn't want to tell anyone. Some people for certain reasons but others because I felt ashamed. Before surgery I had one family member actually tell me I was taking the "easy way" I couldn't believe it. This is far from easy it's a major life change and its not like you wake up and boom your skinny, you still have to do the work. Some people don't realize that.

Me either so far, tomorrow will be my two week mark and so far I've already lost 13 lbs! I lost 54 before surgery as well, I'm psyched and I only have a few more days left of the shakes before I can finally start eating some real food!

Protein water...Has anybody else tried it? I just tried the pink lemonade flavor. It's really good! 5g of protein.

I was sleeved on the 30th and took off two weeks but have decided to take off one more because my body still just gets real fatigued doing the simplest of things. I'm going to take this next week to get out and go for walks and be real active to try to prepare my body for work. It may Depend on what kind of work you do. Are you on your feet all day? I work two (part time) jobs as a dental assistant and a preschool teacher but they both keep active so by 6:00 on my first day back ill be ready for bed! I'd try two weeks and just see how your body is feeling, or see what your Doctor suggests.

Did anybody hear of people who did not lose their hair after surgery?! Ah I'm hoping I luck out. I am only a week post op.

So I was just sleeved on July 30th! And all has been going perfect. Until last night all of a sudden I started getting this sharp pain on my left side everytime I deeply breathe in underneath my rib cage. Could this be a sign of a leak? Has anybody else experienced this kind of pain? -- I have no other kinds of symptoms. Was just curious is anyone experienced this.

So Barbie they did test for a clot just in case, after labs and X-rays and a ctscan. It came back negative!! Thank goodness. Hoping it is just gas pains. Thanks for the help everyone.

Shortly after your surgery did any of you lay on your side and then find your incisions even your stomach sore the next day?

There aren't a whole lot of other symptoms that could point to a pulmonary embolism. I'm going today to get it checked out. Thanks guys!

I did and he doesn't think it's a leak because I don't have a fever and I'm tolerating my diet ok. But if the pain persists I'm going there tomorrow and I'm going there tomorrow to see what's going on

Wow! Good for you on your success!! Do they know what caused those things? Right now I'm just getting sharp pains everytime I take a deep breaths. Hoping that it'll go away or I'm going to go my PCP tomorrow. I've lost 9 lbs since my surgery!

How much protein do they want you to take in daily if you dont mind me asking?

Well my surgeon called back and wasn't concerned about it being a leak because i do not have a fever and I'm tolerating my diet no problem. The pain went a way for a while too. But now everytime I take a deep breathe I get a sharp pain that just radiates from my shoulder to my rib cage and kind of in my back. It's just odd and really painful but honestly doesn't feel sleeve related anymore.

Are you having pain when you take a deep breath? Cause I am too. I was sleeved 8 days ago. On my left side everytime I take a deep breath my shoulder hurts and sometimes my back and under my rib cage. I called my surgeon earlier cause I thought oh dear left side shoulder pain do I have a leak? But he thinks I'm fine because i do not have a fever and I'm eating alright. But doesn't it stink being in pain and having no idea what could be wrong with you. Hang in there I hope you feel better and everything is alright!

I have about a week and a half left of the shakes but tomorrow I can start adding puréed foods. I do find that the pb2 doesn't dissolve all the way but that may have just been how i mixed it. I shook it with a blender bottle. My stomach didn't seem to have any trouble with it though.

Thanks! I called and I'm just waiting for a response. The pain has actually stopped within the last 20-30 minutes or so but it would be nice to find a reasoning behind it.

I am getting an achey in my shoulder*

No fever but I am not getting an achey left shoulder. It's the only symptom I'm receiving that could point to a leak. But I had bad shoulder pain right after surgery due from all the air trapped. My surgeons office isn't open for another 20 minutes so I'm just sitting here panicking!
