I was a relatively low bmi case. But I drink with meals. I know I'm not supposed to but it helps me get in more lean proteins .

I didn't tell any one other than my fiancé. I mentioned it to them that I was thinking about it but didn't tell. Its a personal choice. I have had to semi lie. I did have a hernia in my upper left abdominal wall and did need repair , but a barratric / surgeon at Vanderbilt did it while he removed 80% of my stomach. The classic 2 for 1.

Starting to second guess myself
ccm2n replied to janelle_vs's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 29 yr old male. 6'1 290 per op. Was a college athlete and had high bp high cholesterol and sleep apnea. 1yr later I'm 180 lbs no knee, ankle, joint pain. No more bp meds in my 20' s . I'm healthy and this was the best decision I've ever made. I could not loose weight before because of my knees and ankles taking a beating from 13 years of being over weight and football. This has truly been the best thing I've ever done. You can pm me with any questions. Good luck and make your own decision. I was not supported myself but I stand by this 100% -

ccm2n replied to TallGirl71's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try different temps it worked for me. I also chewed on ice. It kinda slides down and soothes the troat. I was about 1 week post op when I felt like I had a handle on drinking and at 6 months you will get your fluids in no prob. It gets better by the day. -
