    One week post op

I am 12 days out. Had a week of clear liquid and two weeks full liquids. Haven't licked anything yet, but was tempted... we have to stay strong. We got this! Well, at least for today...
  2. I have 60 lbs to lose. I was sleeved 12 days ago and am super excited about my journey. This was last resort for me. I am a very slow loser and get discouraged and give up after a month. Guess what -- there's no quit with the sleeve! It's so wonderful not to be hungry or tortured by food cravings. It's very frustrating for people to sit in judgment of me because I don't have 100 lbs to lose. I don't want to get to that point. Good luck to you.

    Dallas, Texas Sleevers! !

Hi, Shea. I live in eastern Rockwall county. I was sleeved at Forest Park Med Ctr on Oct. 11. Not real close, but close enough. Good luck with your surgery.
  4. Hopefully, you can get the proper treatment now. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
  5. I'm 5'1" and was sleeved one week ago. Agree you should seek another surgeon.
  6. Wow! Just Wow! Good for you!
  7. Thanks for the responses. I'll definitely call the doctor. I was hoping to gain insight from someone who's "been there, done that". We are a rather unique medical group with our sleeves. Not sure my pcp has seen another sleeved in his practice.
  8. I am six days post op and having a major gout flare. I can barely walk. Please let me know what I can do.
  9. Indomethecin was my go to drug for flares. Was very effective. I've never had a flare this severe, though.

    Feeling lost :(

So very sorry for your loss.
  11. I was sleeved on the 11th. Stayed in the hospital 2 nights, it was part of the package. I feel really well and pain is minimal and only present when getting up, etc. I hope all the 11th sleevers are doing as well.

    Tomorrow is the day!

I am two days post op and am amazed at how well things have gone. My pain has never exceeded a 2-3 out of 10. My worst experience was dry heaving (three times) and then there was the shart in my bed... I know it's too early to celebrate success, but very relieved at how good it's gone.
  13. I meant pcp. Darn spellcheck.
  14. Definitely see endocrinologist or ask your PvP to run a complete thyroid blood test. I have thyroiditis and it will give the appearance of overactive when it is actually very inactive.
  15. I was self pay in Dallas. Had initial seminar and consult with surgeon, endoscopy, stress test, pre-op class, and quite a few follow spots with nut and some with doc.
