You look great. Super cute dress!

You're not alone. I did get rid of all of my really big stuff but I've been holding onto sizes 14 and under. It's not that I'm setting myself up to fail, it's more that I'm a realist and if I do slip up in the future I sure as hell don't want to have to shop for bigger clothes. I hope I never have to open the box.

Posting those pics took guts. Your progress is absolutely incredible. You must feel terrific, I'm so happy for you!

I am a hair salon owner and I have a product that helps a TON with backing up shower drain from hair loss. Check out draining.com. Super cheap and incredibly effective.

Interesting list, especially that last one. I would think by yhe time you list premature death it would be just a little late for wls

I didn't want ro be adding sugar or artificial sweeteners all the time so I got flavored stevia drops. I like Sweet Leaf brand, I get them on Amazon about $10 a jar but you only need a drop or two so it lasts a really long time

Plain water is just to... hard for my stomach so I have to always add something to it. And I can't do cold anymore. So completely weird.

Follow it to a T. Those rules are there for a reason. Just because you don't notice any ill effects doesn't mean there aren't any. You trusted your doctor to perform surgery on you, trust him now.

You're most likely eating too fast/much. Slow down and eat less. This is common early out.

Surgery in 2 weeks haven't told my fam.
Seela replied to Sweetbaby1's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm on the other side of the fence. I've told everyone. Most people are supportive and curious. A small handful of people were not. I don't care. I have enjoyed educating people and every single person who was negative in the beginning has changed their toon now that they see how much more healthy and happy I am. If someone is negative I simply walk away or ignore it. It doesn't matter to me. I'm PROUD of my decision and thrilled with my results. This whole process makes me happy and it feels good to share it with people. .. even the jerks. -
Hair... loss...sucks! I absolutely hate it. I just want it to stop. I get depressed every time I wash my hair. I don't think I'll feel truly successful until it stops and I see regrowth.

Anyone NOT need skin removal?
Seela replied to Fuff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. I am 42 years old and 5'5" tall. I started at 250lbs and have lost 76 lbs with 34 to go. (Yay me). Sleeved 10/21/13. While I have some loose fat, I think I can tighten most of it up with exercise and time. Loose fat can be lost/shrunk, loose skin cannot. I don't think I will have any loose skin after losing 110 lbs. -
Feel free to add me Seela13

Protein Requirements for the Long Haul
Seela replied to PGee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon told me that he sees the best long term results in patients that continue to have a protein supplement daily, especially through the first year. -
Pre-op diet ... How do I handle family eating
Seela replied to defwen's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
During pre op I just couldn't handle it. I was lucky in that my family was so supportive. My teenage daughter took over cooking dinner for pre op and immediately post op. I stayed in the other room until everything was finished and cleaned up and put away. Things are long back to normal now and I have re-taken back the mom/wife roll... to which my daughter is thrilled! -
my boyfriend doesn't approve of the surgery
Seela replied to chad.vicious's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Haha! That totally made me lol... whenever my husband "reminds" me that he likes long hair I tell him he should stop getting his cut all the time then. You gotta do what's best for you! -
What's your menu consist of?
Seela replied to Kimberlee1383837812's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I definitely have one shake daily. My surgeon said he sees the best long term success in patients that continue to take a protein supplement through the first year. Other things I eat... eggs, chicken, beef, tuna, just started a little Salad, occasional banana, beans, more chicken, yogurt etc. .. -
It was a compliment. Lol

Madam, you have an incredibly delightful way with words...

Thanks! Yes, I went with my daughter and I think she may have had more fun than me... she was pulling dresses left and right. .. I never would have even tried these types of dresses without everyone's recommendations, so thank you so much!

Hi. I haven't worn a dress for over ten years! I like dresses and now that I'm a size 12 I feel I could probably wear some now. Problem is I don't really know if it looks ok or not. Would some of you ladies please post pics in every day dresses or sun dresses so I can get an idea of how there supposed to look. I'm about 5'5" and 179 lbs... size 12... Help!
