Seela replied to CrissyRing77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I go through periods where I can eat a lot ten it just goes away and I can hardly eat anything. I think it has something yo do with my level of activity for any given day. -

What a wonderful and inspiring post. Thank you so much for sharing your story. And congratulations on your success! -
Haha! I didn't even notice my face in the pic... I was to busy looking at my legs! Too funny

I forgot I had bow legs! Funny and totally thrilled to be reminded but damn, wish I didn't!

So totally awesome! Hey, mine too!

Lots of broth and jello. And sleep. This stage is short lived and you're almost there. Hang in there, you can do this!

Those all count! Your surgeon will write it up all medical for the insurance. Good luck -
Counting blessings. I will read every post
Seela replied to LindafromFlorida's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh my... I can't possibly list all of them... first I'm so thankful to have my health back and set a good example for my children that I will now live long enough to see make a difference. I'm also thankful that because of my renewed health I'll be able to help my parents as they get older and need more help. There's a million more but these pretty much say it all for me. Nice thread:) -

How Much Weight Did You Lose in the 1st Year?
Seela replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I honestly don't know how that will help you but I totally get why you're asking. Try doing one of the holiday challenges. Everybody's experience is so different. Some people get to goal at nine months, some at three years and some never do. Also, don't be afraid to change your goals along the way. -
Next up... food porn and beating with sticks.

Im not far enough out yet to give you first hand experience but, a lot of vets do 5:2. Search it... a lot of them swear by it. Good luck.

How soon for hair loss?
Seela replied to Kiara5244's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That seems REALLY early to be experiencing that type of loss. Did you have a very long preop? I had a lot of hair loss prior to surgery but it was because I ate a ton of crap and hardly any protein. The loss I'm experiencing now is directly related to the surgery so im praying that with my greatly improved nutrition and high protein intake it will come back. -
Liquid Diet Headaches?
Seela replied to butterfly2014's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yup. Pre op sucks big time. It gets better around day 4... -
1 day post-op, extremely painful sipping!
Seela replied to queenhelene's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
YES! Sipping for the first few days was more like just barely dipping my upper lip into water and getting a drop or two. All. Day. Long... it gets a little better every day:) -
I still experience this if I don't get enough to drink or if I forget to eat, but it gets better with time

Eating and drinking "rules"
Seela replied to gastricsleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It doesn't specify breakfast, dinner or snack. It specified before and after EATING. for me at almost 6 months out I drink up to eating then drink nothing for 30-60 minutes after. -
Thanks! I think so too now if I could just get them to do their chores...
-
I just love love you!

Another thing to consider, and I have experienced this first hand, is that sometimes a written post can come off in a way you don't intend. If I'm not in a "compassionate" mood, I just stay away from those threads and roll my eyes... I usually find myself venturing back to offer whatever support I can, because I've been there. I said earlier that I thought about starting this thread, but thought better of it and ultimately just decided to offer comfort to a regretful newbie. That ended up comforting me probably more than the person I was trying to help. And remember, there might come a time when you have a concern that others roll their eyes at... You'll still want their support
-
That would be frustrating but even at 1200 calories, it may be slower but weight loss is a mathematical certainty. Plus if it comes off slower your body will recover better and you'll have a better chance of keeping it off long term. Forget about how fast everyone else is losing and remember how excited you are going to be a year from now... it's not a race. .. but you're winning!

The dent will go away:) it was 4-6 weeks before my incision pain was totally gone. Sometimes it was severe. Sounds normal but if you have ANY doubt it's always best to call you doctor. Feel better:)
