This Is Pathetic, But I Really Need Some Encouragement
Seela replied to Seela's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wouldn't even hesitate to take her to the hospital, ins or not, if I thought in any way she needed it. Thank you for your concern. She is a little sore and her wrist hurts from falling on it but nothing is swollen and the police checked her out pretty good. Plus I practically strip searched her! -

Thoughts On Drinking Through A Straw?
Seela replied to Seela's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what I'm thinking. I'm probably still gonna try it (little scared) but I will call my surgeon at nine and give them the chance to talk me out of it. Just really need to find a way to get more fluids in! Thanks all for your experiences and advice! -

Thoughts On Drinking Through A Straw?
Seela replied to Seela's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally agree with all of you.. and I trust my dr and my advise to others is always 'follow your Dr s advice' but I can't seem to get hydrated. I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard anything about actually causing any damage or harm ever due to drinking out of a staw? -
The Food Police Were Out In Full Force Yesterday!
Seela posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Things I heard yesterday. .. -is it ok for you to eat that? -oh.. none of that for you! -I thought you couldn't eat that? -nope.. not for you! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So in the middle of dinner I stood up and said, 'Listen, I do not need any of you to police what I'm eating. You need to pass everthing to me like you always have and I am perfectly capable of choosing for myself whether or not I can or can't eat it. It's my choice! And if there is one more comment I am leaving'!. Well, everyone was a little shocked but the comments stopped and I was able to really enjoy the rest of the evening without feeling like I was under a microscope. Geesh! -
So.. here is a picture from my fattest summer ever.. and one from two weeks ago...

Do not do nothing! Contact your local mental health agency and get the help you need. My parents don't believe in it either so I went untreated until in my twenties. . Long enough for me to screw up my life. Get help, your mom doesn't need to know and it won't cost anything. Good luck

Probiotics For Constipation?
Seela replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used to use this... great stuff but tons of cramping. . Wouldn't even think of using it now -
You are most certainly not alone! You posted earlier on a thread I needed help in (thank you) and I can tell you that even through all the stress and uncertainties of being approved, the pre op diet, losing 2 employees one eeek before surgery, hiring 3 new employees days before surgery, leaving my business in the hands of newbies, post op misery, going back to work with the energy of a half dead snail, losing my ins and my daughter getting hit by a car.. (whew!).. I don't regret a second of my decision to have this surgery. You can do this and we all have struggled along the way, most of us come out better on the other side (and Skinner too)!
