Oh honey, don't go just when you need help the most! There are lots of people on here who miss you *and* are great storytellers. Check in just to read and watch, please? And didn't RJ's "lower than a snake in a wheel rut" give you a little glimmer?

Such a noticeable difference! You're doing great and have no reason to be concerned or embarrassed. Lucky Mr. GG. :-) -
Veteran sleevers...HELP. 6 weeks out, nausea starting again?

So - have you called the doc? -
Anyone have allergic reaction to steri strips?
Sleeved in Seattle replied to Living Lean 13's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I beg to differ, based on personal experience. If you're truly allergic it can take more than a month to subside, even with a strong corticosteroid. Happily for me, tho, I have no signs of it anymore. :-) -
GERD - Indigestion, Reflux, Lumps in Throat/Chest. Exposition of Symptoms and Treatment.
Sleeved in Seattle replied to Madam Reverie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not to be a killjoy, but careful stopping the PPI. YMMV, of course, but I had to restart it after a few weeks off when I started noticing a nagging sore throat and what seemed like hunger (but couldn't be). But three cheers for feeling well enough to skip it! -

Groan. You have accomplished what I thought was well nigh impossible: I now appreciate the U.S. healthcare system. So keep doing what you're doing and consider investing in your own consulting nameplate. Lovely help. -

Hey Mme. - do let us know what the medical man says. I rarely have to resort to the multiple pillows treatment now, unless I eat too late before bedtime, so fingers crossed time will heal all wounds. Lisa -
Time to board the plane... will be keeping you all posted!

You caught that? Guess you're cutting back on the meds. And no plastics for me! The only one who's going to see my flabby belly is my husband and he's way too happy to see me already. -
Hey Spacedust - nothing I say can take away from the great work you're doing! You *should* be proud. :-) I've never had knee boots, so you're way up on me there!

Good to hear from you and glad you're on the other side. Like Butter says, enjoy the meds and keep the horses away from your drains. P.S. And yes, it's cold and foggy here, so if you can move, get out and get the warm sun on your face! -
Just tried on and bought size 10s. Cackle cackle cackle. :-)

Last night's chorizo con huevos, which will probably be tomorrow's lunch as well.

GERD - Indigestion, Reflux, Lumps in Throat/Chest. Exposition of Symptoms and Treatment.
Sleeved in Seattle replied to Madam Reverie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh sweetie, that sucks! You poor thing. I've never had anything that bad, but I do recommend either jacking up head of your bed or sleeping on two pillows for a while. That has helped me get rid of the sore throat that I suspect was caused by GERD. -
Definitely give it a few weeks and try again - your stomach is still the boss of you this early in the game. (Mine's the boss of me forever, I'm beginning to think!)

Pics of my husband 2 months out

He looks great - you must be proud of him (when you don't want to kill him for losing so quickly ). -
10 weeks out.
Sleeved in Seattle replied to dupergreenie's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm sure it's no fun, but hearing you've had three makes me chuckle, as my older brother has had three hip replacements. Whenever I tell someone how many he's had I can see the math going on in their heads. Good luck and I hope this time the sleeve does help. -

Awesome job, congrats. But sheesh, good luck with the shoulder surgery! -
has anyone experience bad tasting breath
Sleeved in Seattle replied to Dee White's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I believe that is a result of your body being in ketosis. Not unusual. -
Beef Jerky anyone?
Sleeved in Seattle replied to hopeliveshere's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried the Krave turkey jerky, 80C/9g Protein per oz., and it was tasty (basil citrus - yum!). I liked it because it was softer than most, but it does have more sugar than I'd like. The Oberto factory store is about a mile away and cheaper. I'll have to find that bacon jerky! -
Look at you tiny person! You look great! But your husband needs another new suit - that one's too big.

Not hungry at breakfast time
Sleeved in Seattle replied to ReDbEaN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been resisting the setting alarm idea - it seems counter intuitive to have to remind myself to eat - but it's beginning to make sense. Don't know about you guys, but I do tend to go more than 2-3 hours between meals, what with the Water drinking and life in general getting in the way. -
my life is miserable since the sleeve
Sleeved in Seattle replied to luckyqueenbee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does your surgeon know you were admitted? There should be other tests they can do to see how food/fluid is passing through your sleeve. I'm glad you're getting hydration, but hope you get the rest resolved soon!
