I wouldn't go back for anything! I had a flipped port that required a second surgery but even with the complication I would still do it all over again. I wish you the best of luck-follow the rules and you'll do great!! Make sure to take your protein. Banded 5/15/07 Tara

during my first attempt at a fill my Dr. couldn't access the port he kept hitting metal, next day under fluroscopy he determined the port had flipped 180 degrees so july 31 I had a port revision surgery during which I also got a fill, I'm completely healed and even with the complication would do it all again in a heartbeat! Hope you heal quickly, God Bless Tara

I had my port revision yesterday, painful but no worse than the original surgery. Dr said it was flipped completely around so he removed some tissue and lower it alittle from it's original location. Also got a small fill so back on the road hopefully!!

I am having revision surgery on the 31st, as far as my understanding goes once it flips (completely around) the stitches have broken and it needs to be repaired otherwise it isn't really tethered to anything. I would ask if it is completely flipped or only turned. hope it helps good luck

well my dr called and I'm having the revision on the 31st, thanks for writing back Kelly I'm feeling less apprehension unfortunately I never got any fill because we discovered this first time out. I never felt anything or have any pain at all and it's been flipped since May. Hope the new medicine your dr gave you works if it does tell me what it was so I can get it too.... take care Tara

Hi I'm having the same problem am getting ready to have it repaired. how long were you in surgery and did you go home same day? what kind of restriction as faras foods do you have? I went for my first fill (I was banded may 15, 2007) the Dr couldn't do the fill because He thought the port was tilted-2 days later He tried using fluoroscopy and determined that the port had turned completely over! Now I need a second surgery to turn it back around. He said in all his years He has never seen this happen before. Just curious if there is anyone else out there with the same complication. So far I've lost 21 pounds and other than this couldn't be happier. Tara:rain: It better stop raining on my parade!!!
