  1. You WILL enjoy food! I am almost 10 months out and I enjoy most foods except bread, rice or pasta(surgeon has us wait 1 year) I just eat smaller portions. I do use a veggie spiralizer, mines a countertop crank one(kinda like an apple peeler corer! We absolutely LOVE it! We have successfully subbed cauliflower rice for regular rice and the kids don't even notice :) sure I've had a cup cake or gone for ice cream, it's a lifestyle change! I run a lot now and feel like I deserve a treat now and then, I'd cheat with bread rice or Pasta but I know once I start I won't be able to stop and I'm not done losing yet! Hang in there folks you WILL feel normal again! I feel exactly as I did preop just can't eat but half what I used to! <3 my sleeve!

  2. My new lunch fav, and sometimes Breakfast too! The dietician at our surgeon's office showed us this as an appetizer option this summer at our last support group meeting so I made it to a meal serving, roughly 200 calories for both pieces!

    2 Wasa crackers

    4 TBSP fresh ricotta

    Drizzle of Olive Oil

Drizzle of balsamic(I left this off for the pic bc mines a spray bottle and doesn't looks so pretty in pics lol)

    Fresh basil

    Salt & pepper

  3. You look awesome! We should meet up next year in Vegas!!! I did the 5k this year but wouldn't have dare to have attempted last year walking was so much easier this year but I was also closer haha

That would be awesome! My hubby burst my bubble slightly when he reminded me I'm hoping to be about 5-6 mos pregnant by Vegas! That's not a sad thing I'm super excited to have our last little one, but the thought of the heat and walking eeks! But the convention center is AC so are the taxis and casinos ;)

  4. I keep trying to reply I hope this one works!

Congrats to a fellow Scentsy Sister, you look amazing!!!! I too had surgery last year(Nov 20) down from 211-139! The difference between convention last year and this year was huge for me! This year I could walk and walk and walk all over STL! Last year the walking was painful!

Here are a few convention pics of me :)

  7. I'm 8 months out and 10# from my surgeon's goal for me , I'd like to lose another 20#...

Breakfast-usually egg whites fried with a 1/2 of a slice of light American cheese or Premier Protein shake.

Snack-if I had an early Breakfast I may have my shake now, but my nut frowns on snacking...

Lunch-2oz deli turkey or ham usually rolled with sandwich sliced pickles and string cheese in the middle, a rice paper roll up with turkey, avocado, carrots, lettuce and green onions with my homemade thai peanut sauce, or 5 slices of hard salami with one slice cooper cheese and 3-4 slices of apples.

Snack-if I need one it's typically almonds, sliced apples with Peanut Butter Greek yogurt dip, beef Jerky, a few whole grain tortilla chips or some watermelon.

Dinner-usually 3-4oz Protein like chicken, steak or fish and a small amount of salad or veggie.

Snack- usually this is when I do my Protein Shake or my second one if I worked out hard!

I drink mostly Tazo Iced Passion Tea that I make at home, Decaf coffee in the am and decaf iced coffee everyday from Dunkins is my treat!

  8. Dairy Queen has a vanilla orange bar that is delicious and it only has 60 calories, 0 fat and drum roll 4 grams of sugar!!! It is so good and big! They come in a box from the freezer at DQ. Really satisfies my sweet craving.

Gonna go check for these ASAP! Thanks!

  9. Oh man I'm sorry to hear all of this! Yes we all go through loss at some point but this is extreme and anyone would have difficulty handling it all! You are a strong one girl I know from seeing your success! I don't speak up much, but you are and have been an inspiration! Hang in there and friends who are true will see you through this even when you aren't at your best and if he is resentful that his needs may not come first right now, then he's got some learning to do! Big hugs and prayers for you!

  10. Wuhoooo! So happy for you!!! I have a consult for a Panni with my bariatric surgeon on Monday bc I've gotten into running(who would've think it) and it's painful and super uncomfortable! This is purely for comfort and the only skin surgery he does and when I heard he did them I was so happy bc he is amazing! Later down the road hopefully after we have another little one I'll have my full body overhaul lol! I just want it to be here already! I'm 10lbs from my surgeon's goal for me and about 20-25 from my goal. How long did it take you to reach goal!? Mine has slowed to a crawl I'm talking maybe 3lbs a month! I wonder if I need to up my calories...anywho enough rambling! I really am so happy for you, it's been a long road for you! Big hugs!

  11. I buy them. Most grocery stores carry them. Exact same nutrition as regular hard boiled eggs. I like them due to the convenience. I hate peeling eggs. Plus they are pretty awesome. I never had one til about 5 months ago. I even made some develed eggs out of them. Was pretty interesting.

Where in the store have you found the pickled eggs? I've never seen them in a store or maybe I missed them! My grandmother used to make them in huge jars for us, sadly no recipe was left when she passed :/

  12. I just had my first visit last week and I'm scheduled to be sleeved at the end of August. So excited! I was going to use Dr. Pourshojae, but he doesn't do self-pay (because of the BLIS insurance--he isn't certified with them yet), so Dr. Moazzez will do my surgery. I haven't met him yet, but I've heard good things.

Awesome congrats! I was self pay too! Well worth every penny!
