How many grams of protein are you guys getting in a day that are losing the weight? I get 75 at least and Im NOT losing! Help!

Becky, how is it going for you now? I was band removed/sleeved 8/21 and only down 25 lbs. I feel better, just not losing much weight. Didn't lose much before surgery either. Not lost anything the past month! Any advice from anyone? I get my protein in, I walk..

I was sleeved 8/21 and have not lost for at least a month! I'm discouraged as well. I am only on the scale once a week now. I get plent of protein, walk, might not get all the water I should.

Hello sleevers! I'm in the same situation with the weight coming off, but I feel different now! I feel hope!! I too see the change in pictures, Thank God I took those before pictures as bad as they were. I was sleeved 8/21, actually I am a revision from band to sleeve and was told to expect slower weight gain, but I refuse to! I am a winner no matter what it looks like! I expect my body to line up, and not to control me. A positive mind set does help!!! Stick with the proteins and move, it has to come off!

Vitamin C helps with constipation!! I chew 1000mgs and I'm on iron pills 3X a day! Never constipated.

It happened to me as well! VSG on 8/21, and down 17 lbs. I am a lap band revision and they say that can be slower. We are just used to diets that never worked, and it's scary thought that I'm the one it's not going to work for! That is why we have this forums so that we can speak up!!! And we always hear about the ones that lose mega pounds the first 6 months. Chin up and keep on keepin on..

I had a day or two of that and got back to basics, more water and more protein. Protein cuts the carb crave and the insulin spikes that keeps that cycle going. Hang in there, at least your concerned enough to speak up for help. You can do this!! I find that my emotions are all over the place!! Crying and getting really p*** off at people.. anyone else?? I had band to sleeve revision on the 21st and it has been a long 3 weeks but now starting to feel so much better after infection, fever and baseball size knot on the biggest incision! Weight loss of 17 lbs. Walking farther everyday. Eating and drinking with no issues. Taste has changed for a few things, like sweets and coffee dosnt satisfy. Can taste salt more too. Weird.

Update!!! THe scale has moved 5 pounds !!!! Woohoo!! More protein and water...

Floriris, Did you have a drain tube? Did he do a leak test on you at all? I didn't have any of that done. May be why I have that baseball size lump where the large incision is! I didn't care for his use of the f*** word while talking to me! And the pychologist!!! Guess that's why they call it sin city...... The hospital personal at North Valley were great! Belite was terrible and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!! GOt me mixed up with other patient, told dr office I already had band removed in Mexico(which I did NOT!), the costs were higher than I was told, and I wasnt told about the 25% discount at hospital till I got there!! I cancelled my trip to Mexico for that kind of treatment! I was banded in Mexico and was treated so well! Dr Kuri even called be at home here asking about how I was doing! I have not heard from Belite since before surgery!!!!!!!! They got the $ and forget you!

Someone obviously wasnt reading my post right! I have been on liquids since surgery and did this solid ONE day! I did not stretch my stomach back out! Good grief with responses like that I'm off of here!!!!

Take extra vitamin C and you won't be constipated! Always take one with your iron pills!

My taste has changed quite a bit! I drank Crystal light all the time pre-surgery and cant stand it now. Tried coffee and ick. All this sweet stuff is about to gag me, it is even sweeter now and I have a sweet tooth!

I had lap band to sleeve on August 21, and I am so hungry, like most of you and sick of all the sweet! I broke down and had a soft scamled egg and had no issues and felt much better after some real protein. I have not lost any weight yet and its been 11 days!! I walk everyday. Liquids go down without any trouble. Any suggestions???
