I had a very simular problem band was too tight had an adjustment and was able to drink and eat again, but still had no energy couldn't evan walk walmart. My pcp did blood work and found I had a vitamin d and folic acid deficiency. Its been about a month now and the scale says I put on 18 pounds I know I'm eating but not that much. Any ideas on why I would gain so much????????

I think it takes alot for a band to slip I was vomitting almost a month straight and did a barium swallow and everything was fine. I had 5cc taken out of band and I could eat and drink again what a relief.

This just happen to me my last fill was March 08 and in December all of asudden I started having problems eating I thought it was anxiety/flu never thought a band would get tighter after losing 40 pounds.Found out the hard way after tons of test and er visits will never skip checkups again

I had my last fill march 08 and was fine had no problems until December never thought the band was to tight until today after losing all energy unable to keep anything down and pcp threatning to put me in hospital. Went to a new lap band doctor and said I was too tight took out 5cc and did barium swallow he said everything was fine to let my stomach relax a few weeks before a fill. I hope this helps you

I just realized what happens if your to tight for too long. I hve been out of work for two weeks due to lack of energy from not being able to keep food or liquids down. I had blood tests cat scans to find out band was to tight. So go to the Dr. don't be stubbard like me.

I had my surgery on wednesday with Dr.Galvani out of day one health out the downtown chicago office. I'm pleased with Dr.Galvani but very upset:angry with the staff I was told I would receive a follow up call on Thursday still waiting. I called today at 9:15 in need of pain medication:sick and it's now 12:30 still waiting for help. The cost for the surgery is 16000.00 if no insurance. I would strongly recomend Dr.Brian LeHamm out of Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet . My sister inlaw is going through his office and has no issues on returning phone calls. I think I'll be switching offices.
