    November fitness challenge

I'm new! I am 12 weeks out and down 51 pounds. I haven't started working out yet, but I need to!!!! I'm committing to working out 3xweek in November. I'm off to a good start since I jog/walked a 5k this morning (mostly walked!!!). Thank you for this post and inspiration!
  2. I have been in Hawaii all week with my husband. I am 9 weeks post-op. I just take bites of the protein (meat/cheese/egg) and bites of carb or veggies/fruit. Then I'm done. It's so weird my new life. I just don't enjoy good like I used to. But I'm still having fun and vacationing without focus on food. Snorkeling, shopping, hiking. It's been a blast!!
  3. My stall lasted 3 weeks! I was only one week out when it started. I just kept going, knowing that I was eating so little it had to let up. Then, after 3 long weeks, in 2 weeks I lost ten pounds. And still dropping. I have lost a total of 40 pounds and am 6 weeks out. Hang in there.

    Discouraged :(

I am 4 weeks out today and have only lost 17#. I have lost NOTHING for 18 days. I guess I will have to their my scale off a building too. Hoping to start exercising and will see more loss. Reading this tonight really made me feel better. A lot better! I'm glad I'm normal. I was beginning to wonder if my stomach is too loose or the surgery won't work...

    stalling with weightloss

I am 23 days post op and have not lost weight for 13 days. 13. No joke. I'm doing everything right. I drink 80oz water, I eat 50gr protein. The only thing to add is exercise, but my doctor was hesitant until I was 6 weeks out. So I can walk and do light things. I feel different and my clothes are looser. Went down a bra size and a shoe size. I've lost 30 total pounds since start of liquid pre-op diet. 30 pounds lost is great in a month and endpoint tells me I look great. So, yes, stalls suck!!! But, your body is still changing.

  11. I was sleeved august 15, started having back pain recently. It's pretty bad. Mostly in the middle my back, aching muscles. Never had this pain before. Maybe from rapid weight loss and now I am carrying myself differently? Any other back pain sufferers?

    Going to Hawaii in October

Thank you for the advice. This is a new way of life for me. We will not have a kitchen, we are staying in a hotel. What a difference to focus on activities and not food and drink...
  13. My husband and I are going to Hawaii in October. We have never been there before. I was sleeved Aug 15th, I will be about 8 weeks post op then. I am still on soft foods, having trouble getting my water and protein minimums. I am very nervous about being a "downer" when it comes to eating and drinking (alcohol). Really want to have a great time. Plan on hiking, visiting memorial, shopping and of course the beach. We will be going to Oahu. Any recommendations on local food choices or just how to survive and still have fun would be appreciated! Thank you. HW: 276 SW: 257 cw: 241
