Sensy, I am right where you are at, the scale is just not bugging, I was banded on March 18 only 24lbs down. People are telling me I look thinner, today my clothes are actually hanging on me. I do fitday.com everyday and it keeps me real, I eat between 1500 - 1800 calories a day, I'm eating HALF of what I use to eat - it's amazing. I know that I have to start excising more, and then I will lose the weight faster. Take one day at a time it will come.

I want to buy one too and people I know love the proform. Sport's Authoriy sells a lot of them.

Madelaine, I did not get a card from Innamed, I wonder how do we get one?

I was wondering if any of you have had this feeling since being banded. After eating a meal, sometimes I feel like my back throat or espohogus is streching or irritated, like my food is backing up? Maybe this is a sign that my upper stomach/pouch is full. Has anyone ever had this feeling? Corgi

I have lost 36 pounds a year before being banded. Banded March 18th, weight 289, had my second fill Monday, June 20 and weight 265, so far since banding have lost 24lbs. Excercising 3 times a week, need to kick it up a notch!

I have been their and done that several times, just be careful. I irrated my esphogus so bad I had to get an unfill, you will learn over time when you can eat and when you can't and what you can eat and what you can't. PB means Productive Burp! Corgi

Well, I was disappointed went for my 7 week follow up and 2nd fill and only down 4 more pounds, BUT I have to say I'm headed in the right direction. The PA told me to start excercising more. Five days after my 1st fill I had to go back due to excessive vomiting and I get an unfill, the PA told me that I am behind schedule far as cc's are concern, I should have more in my band at this point, but because of my problem they don't want to put in too much and have me come back again due to vomiting, so they are going to take it slow with me. My first fill was 1.75cc, then unfilled -.25cc, today they filled me another +.35cc's for a total of 1.85cc. The office said to come back in 8 weeks and then they will put me on a regular fill scheduled, don't know what that meant. Anyone I'm happy, I haven't seen these numbers on the scale in about 3 years.
-
La Madam, I agree maybe I heard her wrong, but I thought that was what she said. I hope to stay at 1.85cc's for a while now. Hope you are well... Corgi

I have ulcerated colitis and my doctor said it was o.k. to get the lapband. Talk to your doctor first.

I have been on a the soft food syndrome, 11 weeks out and I don't think I have lost much more. I found that soft things like lite ice cream and soft chocolate chip cookies go down really easy, am I Nuts., oh my goodness. I go for my second fill on Monday the 20, and my doctor will yell at me if I haven't lost anything more. So I also confused my dirty little secret, why does food have to taste so good. All I want is to feel as restricted as I did when I first come out of surgery, I hope someday I will get that sweet spot with fills.

Jonathan, Bravo, I needed to hear this. I am almost 11 weeks post op and I am scheduled to see my doctor on June 20 for 2nd fill and weight in. I lost 22 lbs the first 7 weeks, and the last 5 weeks I have been at a standstill. 4 days after my first fill I had to go in for an unfill, because I couldn't even hold down liquids, I am currently at 1.5cc's. I have found myself eating more the last 4 weeks, I am more hungry. I just hope when I go for my next fill, I am more restricted. Your words are so encouraging... Corgi

I DEFINATELY am saving about $40-50.00 per week, but I am spending more money on new clothes.. Corgi

Alexandar, I needed to hear this, I will apply your method today, Thank You! I am 10 weeks out and after my 1st fill I was so restricted I had to go back for an unfill, now I am at 1.5cc. The last three weeks meats have been really really hard for me, I end up vomiting, so I have reverted to foods, such as starches, sweets which go down really easy. Over time I had now been eating too much of these foods and not losing any weight, at a stand still. I said I will never have another fill again, and I can't wait to see my doctors on June 20 for another one. Corgi

I may have to go on an antibiotic due to bad poisen ivy irritation, can you all recommend one that won't damage my pouch or band? Corgi

My husband I were in the garden, and cutting down bushes and small trees, and 4 days later itching and blisters appear on my arm. I just got back from the doctor and she gave me a cream, it seems to be working already. Corgi

This same thing happened to me. After the fill I was o.k., then on the 3rd day I couldn't hold down anything, even Water. I was pbing, throwing up, it was terrible! After 4 days I had enough, I finally paged my doctor, and they told me to come in right away. Within 5 days I lost 3.8 lbs, so they knew I was not lying, they took out .25cc's and then a few days I was so much better. Then I was saying I will NEVER have a fill again! Now 3 weeks later I need a fill, I can eat more and I am at a stand still in my weight lost. Corgi

Hi all, I had my first fill on Monday 4/25 and had to go back to the doctor on Friday for an unfill. I was vomiting and pb'ing after just a very small amount of mushy's. I was orginally filled +1.75cc and then was unfilled -.25, I feel a difference but not that much. I have been on full liquids and today will start to have some pureed/mushies for the next few days. The way I feel now I don't EVER want to have another fill again, I feel restricted enough already. I'm just afaird I'm not getting enough nutrients or calories at this point. I hope I get loser.... And Thanks to all of you for your support, I don't know what it would do without this board. Corgi

Hi all, I had my first fill 2 weeks ago +1.75cc and was so uncomfortable (vomiting and pb even on liquids) & miserable for about a week, that I had to go back in for an unfill -25cc. Here I am a week later and I can eat, yesterday I ate more then I should have, I know I said I would never have another fill, BUT today I changed my mind. I'm scheduled for another weigh in on June 20 and my second fill. I'm starting my exercise program today and will really watch what I eat. Has this happen to others also? Corgi

I was also scared of the same thing after my first fill. I was vomiting and pbing all the time. I called my doctor right away and went to see him, I was unfilled and within a few days I was fine. I would always call my doctor to be sure. Corgi

Hi All, Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally feel better since my unfill of .25cc's. Boy that was some trip, I am not vomiting or pbing anymore, Thank God! I was able to eat yesterday slowly with no problem. I still feel restricted but my stomach and espohogas(sp) are not so irritated anymore. Thanks for all your help! Corgi
