  1. Don't give up! I am 3wk out and down 16lb just from surgery but lost nothing week two. I have never lost 16lb in one month. I'll take slow and steady if that's what it takes to get it off.
  2. I also had surgery 9/11 but have not felt the fullness in the chest. Only the air that comes after eating that I dislike.
  3. I'm almost 3wk post op and have been stalled since day 10. It sucks but I keep with how I'm supposed to eat
  4. I am a nurses assistant, I was off two weeks, could've went back in one. I am also in college and went back 5 days post op

    5 weeks out

I'm 2.5wk out and lost 10.5lb when I don't include my pre op diet. I think everyone is different. I also know usually when you have a huge number loss the next week is usually low.

Period day of surgery and after

I told them and they just made sure I had something underneath me. The blood thinners during the stay is what I think made if drag out soooo long. Thank god that's over!! I took pads with me. It won't effect your surgery best wishes tomorrow !
  10. I see lots of period questions on here but not sure if I have seen this. Have any of you went into surgery with your period and how long after surgery did it last? Getting blood thinners while being a patient obviously didn't help my matters any but I feel like I have had a period for forever and it isn't decreasing. I'm 4 days post op and had a period 5 days before going into surgery.
  11. Day 3 or 4 was my roughest. After that it was smooth. But them days I felt like I could rip someone's head off and every commercial made my hunger worse

Anyone From Buffalo, Ny Out There?

It took me quite a while. I not I would do a suppository the night before surgery
  14. I was told to start regular foods ten days out, was sent home on full/soft foods such as yogurt and cottage cheese. I feel awesome. If see what the dr says
  15. I started at 292, and am supposed to weigh between 140-160 at 5'8". So yes you can have the sleeve even if you want to lose more then 100lb. It's been done. I chose the sleeve because it is the best option and the safest of the three. So far I am very happy with my choice. Besides a few days of discomfort I've been feeling great. I found that an optional surgery is much scarier then a needed surgery. But this surgery will help me so I don't struggle the rest of my life. Best luck in your decision making. Be positive and don't over read into any of the forums.

    Vitamin Dilemma!

I take the flinstone complete before bed 3 of them and don't mind
  18. Don't beat your self up. The nurse practitioner offered me ginger ale for my nausea when I was in the hospital a day post op. Get yourself back on track. You had the will power to have surgery, you can find the will power to do this
  19. I've read so many horror stories how people have lost weight and their relationship suffered or failed. How about all the ones that have re amped!!! I'm an optimistic person and would love to read about some.

    tortilla 5weekspost op.

Tortilla is recommended over bread. I'm 9 days out and my doctor told me to start regular food since I tolerated full liquids and soups with chunks so well. So I had a small tortilla with chicken on it today. My only suggestion would be small bites and chew it up well.
