    Exercise

At my 1 week appointment I was released for easy walking. At 6 weeks I was released for cardio, but no weight training. Today at my 8 week I was released for all activity.
  2. I had a TT on June 17 and low and behold my cycle started that morning. I told the nurse when I checked in at the surgery center they said no tampons, but she gave me a pad to use during surgery. Everything went fine. I would certainly call your surgeon's office to confirm that there won't be an issue. Best wishes on your TT!

    Cost Curious - Plastics

I am in Chicago (northern suburbs). I had breast lift and brachioplasty, in January the cost was 10.5k. I am scheduled for a fleur de lis tummy tuck and facial fat transfer on June 17th, the cost is 11k.

    Liver levels on bloodwork

Mine were elevated and they found out that I gallstones blocking my cystic duct. I had to have several ERCPs to clear them.

    Gallbladder

I had to have mine removed about a year after my sleeve surgery, it wasn't that big of a deal and I wouldn't trade the 200lb weight loss for anything.
  6. I shed quite a bit of hair between 3-6 months. The good news is it is all started growing back around month 7. I kept up with my protein, which is the most important and took Biotin. I changed hair stylists recently and she commented about all of my "newer growth" that is about ear level.
  7. I was sleeved September 2013 and remember the early weeks of not being able to eat and the gas pains, it does get better. Something that helped me get in Protein was adding unflavored protein to broth. I actually got chicken broth from our favorite Chinese restaurant then mixed in the unflavored powder (let the broth cool before mixing it in or the powder gets lumpy). The temperature of what I was eating/drinking was better at lukewarm or room temperature having always been someone that needed everything ice cold to drink this was a surprise. Remember to stay hydrated in the early days. Then build in the protein. Warm wishes your way!
  8. Hospital gown was much easier. I asked for a 2nd gown and wore that backwards to create a bathrobe, so I could walk the halls without giving a show.
  9. I would say that you friend's situation is definitely not normal. I was sleeved September 2013 and have no issues with eating or swallowing causing me pain, unless I eat rapidly and do not not chew thoroughly. Follow your surgeon's advice for progressing through food stages, do not try to progress too quickly and if something does not agree with your new stomach give it a week and try the food again. I had issues in the beginning with eating too quickly and with advice from someone on this forum, I downloaded an app "eat slower" and that helped me. Good luck with your sleeve surgery. This best decision I have ever made.
  10. @ My Bariatric life. He caught me. I managed to get out "Dr. Lu, I think I am going to" so at least he looked up and I did not fall on top of him because he was so busy measuring and marking me. I think that would have been the worst if I had fallen on top of him and injured him.
  11. I had Brachioplasty and a breast lift on January 14th and I was not nervous at all going into it. During the pre surgery mark up, I suddenly got very lightheaded and fainted not once, but twice. No harm done and my surgeon was very understanding he said that it happens every once in a while. I was so embarrassed though because all the nurses ran into the room both times. On my past 2 follow up appointments before he shows me the incision site he asks me if I am going to faint and then chuckles. Guess I will be forever known as the "the fainter. "

    Time off work?

I am a retail store manager and had my procedure done on a Monday and was back to work the following Monday. I really had no issues other than being a little tired, by my 3rd day back I was working my usual 12 hour days.
