Poorehouse replied to Poorehouse's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ashelaine, that sounds like she could be my clone! I had band then I had to have band to band revision and now I am considering band to sleeve. Did she have complications with it being in one surgery and is she glad she did it? I getting mixed reviews LOL Almost all say they would do the sleeve again but some say you still have the in your throat feeling instead of feeling full... And today I met someone that suffered from dumping syndrome with the sleeve!! -

Thank you for the info on Cribbins and provost! Provost revised my band after another doctor screwed it up but I am still not successfully on it and I hate the band wish I never did it. When Cribbins did your sisters revision do you know if he did it in one surgery or two? Cribbins is so much closer but since it is revision I want the best. I don't know how many band to sleeve revisions he has done but dr provost perfers GB to the sleeve for revisions and he has done 5000 GB, 3000 Bands, 500 Sleeves and about 1000 revision band to GB... However he has only done 4-5 band to sleeve. Given all of his experience do you guys think that I hour let him to sleeve I refuse GB -
My husband wont sleep with me

I'm not saying this to be funny... But is it possible the problem is with him and not how he feels about you at all. Maybe he is having trouble "performing" and rather than admit that he makes other excuses. Some man hate to admit that they are having a problem in that area and it is too embarrassing to them to tell you or a doctor... Just a thought. I know I am having that issue with my spouse and he gets frustrated with himself. Just something else to consider but you would have to be careful how you approach that topic with him because he may not be ready to discuss it.... If all else fails get some blue pills and roofie him... Now I am just kidding about the last part! Good luck to you -
Has anyone done band to sleeve revision SAME SURGERY?
Poorehouse posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I have had 2 bands... Both unsuccessful (over last 7 years). I had all the fluid taken out 2 years ago when I got pregnant. Now my baby is a year and one I can no longer afford follow up and fills. And 2 after only loosing average 20 total I feel it's pointless. I am considering the sleeve. I thought they would remove band wait several months and do the sleeve however I am seeing that people are having band removed and getting sleeve revision same time. I would like to hear from both people that had it done in one surgery and people that did it in two. I wish I had done the sleeve to begin with because the revision makes me nervous since taking the band off will result in irritation and swelling (as with any surgery) but I wanted to know what to expect and what complications people have had. No sugar coating LOL Thanks for your help with my decision. -

Thank you guys for your in put. I feel better that you both did it the same time and I am assuming no complications. How long were you guys out if work? Also, I have a one year old... Should I wait until he is older or will I be ok to lift him soon after? He's 20 pounds -

Hi, can you help me out I'm am trying to talk to people that had band to sleeve revision. I you don't mind me asking... Did you have sleeve surgery the same time they removed the band or did you remove band and wait several months? I had same problem with band never felt full only that food was stuck. So now I am wondering if the same thing will happen with the sleeve is there any point in the revisions. I would appreciate your thoughts good and band ... Actually, I would love anyone's opinion that would like to give me their take! Thanks so much an good luck with your sleeve
