My surgeon told me 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after.

    Well, I did it

Omg my heart monitor kept going off too when I slept it was SO ANNOYING. In fact I was pretty grouchy to the nurse about it because it woke me up repeatedly.
  4. I know they're a sign of healing... I'm just being rowdy about it. lol What are water blisters?
  5. I wash them with soap and water daily in the shower.
  6. I LOVE posts like this. Thank you, that was a good amount of food. As soon as I can actually eat food again I'll post some pics like this.
  7. I'm not sure you understand... genepha was posting the meal she prepared and then how much she ate of the meal to give us a general understanding of how much she was able to eat 3 months post op. She wasn't just posting food to post food. Just a friendly clarification.
  8. How do we get them so thin?
  9. Congrats! And: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/10081-the-official-what-you-will-need-for-your-gastric-sleeve-surgery-thread/

    6 days post-op...feeling weak!

I'm day 6 now and I understand what you're going through. I get tired easily and I think yesterday I overdid it a bit but I am finally starting to feel better.
  11. I say DO IT! You're just going to sit around in anxiety until then if you wait. Like I did. lol

    Lost weight lost boyfriend

Weight loss aside, if you're finally able to step into your power and there is an adverse response then that alone should be cause for pause. I am a firm beleiver that anytime you make any life changing decisions there will always be casualties, sometimes these casulaties are obvious and easy but sometimes they are hard and hit closer to home. I remember an interview Oprah did with Carrie Underwood and Carrie was telling her that once she got famous there were good, close friends of her that started acting "weird" and distanced themselves. Oprah said it was the oxygen effect. The higher she rose, people started dropping off because they couldnt take it. This applies to our personal lives as well. Think about that for a moment.
  13. Absolutly, I would recommend the RNY to someone who was grossely obease or had other major comorbidies like diabetes or a severe addiction to sugar as the RNY produces a dumping syndrome. You have 85 pounds the lose, the sleeve is perfect for you... between the two surgeries. Just my humble opinion.

    Non believers

Okay I understand. I was lost in semantics for a moment. Our beliefs are very similar... I do not view God in the limitations of religion. I sense God as the DNA of our entire consciousness. 'I am because we are' kind of thing.

Being gay is not a choice but faith is. There is a difference.
  16. If I'm laying down I don't feel it at all but what you're describing is exactly what I'm feeling. I hate my meds. They taste so nasty so I haven't been taking them. If I hold it in I can be a little more mobile and move arou d but the second I forget it kind of feels like a spasm of pain. Annoying
  17. My stomach soreness is starting to bug me. I guess I just need to be patient.

  18. Just really think about it. I'm post op day 5 and its no walk in the park, that's for sure.
  19. Everything that I drink makes my new tummy (4 days post op) feel like I have bubbles rolling around in there. When does this go away?
  20. I guess I don't understand "falling off the wagon"... your sleeve is designed to restrict what you eat, meaning that whatever you eat you will eat less of. Just eat till your sleeve tells you that you're full and you're going to lose weight. I've seen plenty of people who just listen to their sleeves and eat what they want and lose plenty of weight. Obviously this is going to be an unpopular answer but everyone is different.

    Medications After Surgery

I couldnt imagine swallowing a pill right now (4 days post op). Yes, I would just crush them and swallow.
  22. I love your blog so much. You've really been a great inspiration to me through this whole journey.
  23. Thanks for the reassuring response. I am at that stage now where I feel like I've gotten a tattoo and I'm not quite sure if I like it or not. I just attempted to warm up some broth and I added some chicken broth flavored protein powder. The smell affected me in a very adverse way. I almost threw up which would be AWFUL right now. I flipped the stove off real quick, moved the pot and had to leave the room.
  24. I am post op day 4 and Im really craving food. In fact I logged in just to rant about wanting some food but this post helped. Thank you.
